Could you try putting those guards in the locations BEFORE the location reload? I wonder if it does work then...
 
In my case, I won't see the difference because I don't have the bug. But I could do that next week after finishing the 4th quest. Indeed, The guards need to be in the tempquestcharacters.c and not as fantom.

I finished the 4th quest, only need to include the Damski62 and SuperDurnius' work. For the 5th quest, I would like to have at least as fake island (same method like Battle Rocks) the Mona island (this island is between Puerto Rico and Hispaniola). Indeed, I want a remake of the Cannons of Navarone , if i can say, for this quest.

What's the "Cannons of Navarone" like? I'm not particularly familiar with that.
Have you got any word on when your required models might be done?

We've got Battle Rocks and Isla de Muerte; I'm sure we can add more. In fact I've got adding more islands on my to-do list:
We need Pelepostos, Isla Cruces, fake Singapore, World's End and Shipwreck Cove too.
I just don't know when I'll get to working on that; for now I just really don't feel like it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

I just got a thought based on your timebomb request: I was thinking that since it's possible to add locator on-the-fly,
maybe we could actually make a timebomb kind of item that you the player could use where he wants.
Wouldn't be too easy, but I think it could be done. And then probably mines too. But that's just me brainstorming randomly. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

But I think it would theoretically be possible. Also burying treasure on a self-made locator. That might be easier.

Here's the screenshot. Of course, there are still some soldiers missing. I will use this location for an infiltration mission. The player needing to put a time-bomb near each cannon. He will enter the location by the downstairs door.

After putting the time-bombs, you'll see a video showing the destruction of the cannons.

<u>Background of the quest :</u>

The British have been occupying the Mona island for a year. This island is between Puerto-Rico and Hispaniola : in an important Spanish route. The island is surrounded by cliffs except for a small shore used as port. At the top of a cliff, the British recently built a small fort protected by two big cannons. These cannons thanks to their range stop any hostile landing and the Spanish trading route.

Is there a Mona island model somewhere? And how do I get the required worldmap coordinates?
I don't think the console works on the worldmap, unfortunately. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
For now, I haven't got a clue how to add new islands. Probably copy-pasting some code.

What exactly do you need?
- Island on worldmap (coordinates?)
- 3D island model (which one?)
- Reloads to shore (just one shore, right?)
- Land locations (will you make those?)

BTW: At such a large scale, the stock game cannons look rather underdetailed. I wonder if you can get a better version somehow.
I know several of our esteemed modelers have got better ones for on their ships; you can ask them? Maybe in one of Yo Ho Ho's detail packs?
 
The Grenada ship infiltration scene really doesn't work as intended. All enemies come rushing towards the player straight away,
so there can be no sneaking around at all. Beats me how you should kill four enemies without taking as much as a 1 HP hit.
I really hope you can sort out the character init method; I'm hoping that'll make things work as intended again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
 
About the Grenada ship infiltration scene, I'll send you the modification next week with the 4th quest. About the 4 th quest, I don't know if I will already include the work of Damski62 and SuperDurnius. At the moment, I have no news about them...

About the cannon, is it really necessary to choose another one? A new texture for the model I use would be enough. I finished playing the current Assassin quest in the last few days and I have to say it was quite enjoyable <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

I loved the dead general scene <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Well done on the quest <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" />
 
The dead general mission was really cool. That whole quest was really good. Never had to infiltrate a ship before <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />.

I have a better model for the cannons here. It is the same one, that is on the Black Pearl. The one with wheels. I suggest that you make them twice the size of the normal cannons, but not bigger. Like the one you posted in your picture. Because that size is ridiculous for a 17th century cannon. Sorry Thomas, but I've already chose the texture (see screenshot). About the size of the cannon, I want to keep them like they are. By the way, I already made a video and I'm going to upload right now the video and other stuff for Pieter.
