Pirates! Wanted to download the good strange old aop super mod I played a few years ago, but no, it's gone
. There is the new super mod now and this is great
. I like NEW THINGS. New Ideas, great work. But does that mean older great work has to be abandoned? The new work could just stand next to the old now, that would just be game mod development history shown. I mean, the old super mod was not just version xx.x patch x.x, but it was THE one and only super mod for YEARS. A lot of people played it and yes, sometimes one feels like going back and having a look at what one was playing years ago. That's why CMV 3.2 was recently uploaded I think. It's old, but it's part of this AOP2 development history, so well done, I'm sure I 'll have a look at it now and then, because I used to play 3.1.5 and that was close to 3.2. The old super mod was really not perfect, but it's part of the AOP history and therefore it should stay available. Everyone can save what he likes, on his ows plates and sticks, that's true, and Piratesahoy does not necessarily have to be a museum. But I still don't understand it really, to be honest. As far as I am concerned, I'll have it somewhere, on a stick or whatever, but I think c'est dommage that it shall be on the graveyard of abandonware from now on
.
Edit: I'd vote for a download section with at least milestones of development anyway, for POTC, AOP and COAS.
