Hey Ther! I need to know somethin...
Are ther any mods for POTC for playing game all the time even if i'll finish the storyline?
next, can i get some other ship at start? i think rewrite the files to get manowar in game to start <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" /> because if i'll edit that characters_init.c, nothing happens... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
next, Where are skins and modelas (fr example Jack Sparrow) for POTC? I Can't find it.....

ohh shit! another problem! i found depp cahracter on my HDD but its not working.. i did everything and nothing happend.. i think its the same problem with character_init.c :'(

perhaps you have "closed" engine.exe that not works with open code, but I'm not sure. Try to rename folder "PROGRAM", if your PotC still works, than I was right, and you need to find another engine.exe. If game does'n work, than all mods can be installed on your PotC

So, if your game doesn't work without program folder, than you do something wrong when install mods
 
AARGH! thats idiotic... i didn't notice that ther is another directory named ENGLISH in that CHARACTERS directory! DAMN i changed wrong file! idiotic idiotic idiotic!


now i have to solve a problem with textures because they'r not working, but that will be the same problem...

so, i have another question..... I am trying to use POTC 3D viewer, but the textures are not visible.. can ya help me?

If you mean GM_Viewer than simply select folder where are textures in window below models select (i.e. if you whanna see characters use GameDir\resource\textures\characters\) BTW on nVidia graphics card not all textures loading. If you mean TOOL, than it doesn't work with tga.tx file format. You need to cinvert it to tga with tga-tx converter
 
I would want to recommend you install the Build 12 modpack. From what I hear, you aren't running that modpack yet. It improves the game a really big lot indeed. You can find it <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.net/component/option,com_docman/task,doc_download/gid,24/Itemid,46/lang,/" target="_blank">here</a>. It's a large file, but it's <i>well</i> worth it. If you want to be sure it works for your game, install it on a clean installation before installing the Czech language conversion. I doubt the language conversion would work with Build 12 at all.
BTW: Make sure the "extract to" path is correct. The default path is <i>always</i> wrong. My mistake. I hope I can upload a fixed installation file soon.
 
I played old BUILD i think a year ago, and it was a little .. hmm.. not suitable for me.. BUT yesterday before reading this i have installed BUILD 12 and it looks super... but i don't know how to increase my reputation for French governor <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> so i can't do main quest :'(

BTW I LIKE LINE SHIP <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> (isn't it recolored black pearl?? )
 
Yes, the gray one is from a very early version of the A&M mod.
The orange one was a standin repaint I did to have a third, but nobody's got around to making a replacement. :]

What mainquest are you speaking of? The US-and-Euro version of the game we've based the build off of has only the mainquest that goes through Silehard, the English governor.
Perhaps you speak of the Russian version that thanks to patches has other MQs?
 
no no, from silehard! but! i must go to the french port... problem is my reputation with frenches (-62), so the fortress is shootin' on me..

and I know from orig. game that when I'll beat the fortress, everybody from the town disappear....
 
Try to enter the town from the other side. Go to the beach on the other side of the island and from there walk to the town.
