To raise your reputation, you can rescue damsels in the jungles, or rescue people floating in the water after a ship sinks (watch battles between your fort and pirates, when the pirates are sunk, go rescue them!).

There is also a Diplomat on Quebradas Costillas, but you have to pay him a lot of money to "fix" your relationship with any other nation...

However, I think you are at the point where you need to go to Falaise de Fleur but you can't get past the fort cannons. The French are SUPPOSED to be unfriendly, it's all part of the quest. Just go to a remote beach on FdF and travel by land to the port. When you are ready to connect up with the French captain, you can go back overland to your ship and do a "SailTo" so as to get where you need to be for your quest.

in the original game the frenches aren't unfriendly but hesitating so it wasn't a problem.. I have already aproached from beach, but that captain told me to enter the port with my ship...

But i have saved enaugh of enemy crews so the Diplomats will be talking to me again i hope (they didn't. bloody bastards..) and i have about 2 millions (so I hope that diplomats have the same prizes as in original game <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" /> )
 
Quite weird actually. At that point in the game, when I go to FdF, I can safely anchor in port, even though they were hostile just a moment ago. But that is when I play the MQ from the start without doing other things first... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

After the captain tells you to bring your ship along to the harbor, go get your ship and do a "sailto" to the harbor. I think you should be all right. Then go talk to the captain again, and you will be able to set sail with him.

yeah and 'nother question: What may I do with that god damned french corsair ? I mean, there was a quest with him to find English gold from the mines... i killed guards and he tells me that we have gold and that we have to get my ship into the bay.. then everybody (my officers and that corsair) killed the rest of corsair's men.. so I get my ship into the bay.. but nothing happened, I runned through the whole island.. so, I have acompanied a french corsair.. he cannot die, his ship cannot be destroyed <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> but problem is that I don't like him <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I have nice english manowar full of nice english uniformed officers and that idiotic frenchman (sorry to french <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ) is pulling down it's visual effect <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
