I'm not sure they will be used anywhere by their main reason. I thot they could also be used for pirate side captains or quests... Or your assassin-place.
 
I'm looking for a reskin based on the Bocman4 and I think you don't have this model in your files. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
I made this work (see file below). Maybe you could improve the texture ? Thomas said there are also some skins for the Bocman4 made by a russian team but I don't know where I can find them ? I suppose it was not the models already installed in build 14 alpha 8.5 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
In the Dark One topic, I saw a Bocman4 reskin right now ! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

I updated the Bartolomeu Build in the filefront' site. Now it includes the <i>update</i> file I released in this topic 10 days ago.

After releasing Alpha 9, you can quickly prepare the update 4. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
 
I hope so, yes. I wonder when we'll be able to release Alpha 9.
If not next weekend, perhaps I'll make a start on Update 4 before uploading Alpha 9.

Before installing my work, delete the :

PROGRAM\Storyline\Bartolomeu folder

and

RESOURCE\INI\TEXTS\ENGLISH\Storyline\Bartolomeu folder

Indeed, these two folders contain some useless files that could mess up more my main quest.

Some notes :

I included into my main quest the Silver train quest. Indeed, the silver train quest is a modified Jackpot quest (the beginning of the quest in Tortuga is different from the original one).

I changed the model for the Havana port (redmond model instead of douwesen model). And added some Building set models to it. However, I noted that some models don't work in this game version. Why ? I don't have any idea ! Even the entrance for the room where you can find the idol doesn't work. Without talking the b_bale.gm. By the way, I added to some of these models the locators Start and End in order to avoid some error log messages.

I also updated some locators used in the Curacao quest locations. And I closed the Bocht Van Hato shore that allows to reach these locations used by the idol quest. Indeed, I want the player visit these locations only when playing this idol quest.

You will also find the Portuguese Navy and Roche Brasiliano. I added the jail and the townhall to Tortuga. But not the trade of captives. Indeed, despite you'll find many old Spanish Main period soldiers in my work, I will use them in the Assassin Main Quest.

BTW : If unfortunately, I forgot to include a resource in the file (a locator or a texture), you don't need to wait I send you the missing resource. Indeed, the resources used by my main quest can be found in my Bartolomeu Build.
 
Which skins are those? Because I am not very keen on the fact that you use skins from me, when I have made a MUCH better version of them. If you could tell what you need, I could make some skins that will satisfy your needs.
 
The first ones you made for the Spanish Main Period. I will use some of them as original characters for the assassin main quest.

I forgot to install many resources in the <i>Bartolomeu_Work </i> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
So I released now a new file named <i>Bartolomeu_WorkV2</i>. You can find it <a href="http://hosted.filefront.com/dasise/" target="_blank">here</a>

If you already installed the old file in your game, just extract this new one. You don't need to start a new game seeing it's just missing resources.

<u>To Pieter :</u> of course install just the new file in your alpha 9. In this file, I also removed the old Spanish Main Period soldiers, I was thinking using for the Assassin main quest. Seeing Thomas the Terror doesn't want I use them.

By the way, remember to delete , before installing this new file, the 2 folders I talked about in a previous message of this topic <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
If not, the main quest will be more messed up. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/slap.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":slap" border="0" alt="slap.gif" />
 
I didn't delete those folders; I used WinMerge to check which files you wanted to remove instead and got rid of those. Just to double-check nothing got deleted that shouldn't. End result should be good though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

A new texture wouldn't go amiss but I aint got time ATM.
Zareth has kindly agreed to do the locators & check the lighting so he'll be finishing it off.
So it will be ready soon.
