What controllers do YOU use?

A gaming keyboard? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Why not buy an ancient Fujitsu like the one I've got? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> If it gets dirty, I just toss the whole thing in the sink, cable and all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> It's indestructible. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I said I a planing on buying it, because my old one is not working properly, and it's not gold it's shiny black, there is a more expensive version, the letters glow a nice blue color.

You put it in the water? Wtf? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Yup. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> With soap. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> Easier than pryin' off each key individually. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> I do that once a year. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I bought a whackload of old computer parts from the sale my old school did a couple years ago, and I've been piecing together something that *should* work. What exactly for, I don't know. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Is it water proof? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

Nope. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Then how it works after putting it into the water? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Magic! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Nope. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> tell me the real deal. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Magic doesn't exist. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> There's allways a explanation. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

I thought about picking up one of those Razors when I replaced my old IBM Model M keyboard when I built my new system, but I didn't like the laptop style keys. I hated to part with my old Model M, those things are built like a tank and you can beat the hell out of them repeatedly and they will still work perfect! I Also liked the way the keys feel, great tactile response, very easy to tell when you have actually hit a key. I was determined to have a backlit keyboard, all the mods that I could find just weren't capable of turning my Model M into what I wanted. I like to play games in the dark, and I wanted to be able to see the keys with just a quick glance at the board.

I did a lot of research before I purchased the keyboard I have now, I finally settled on a Logitech G-11! It doesn't quite have the tactile response of my old trusty IBM, but it is very nice compared to all other keyboards I have tried. The coolest part is the 18 programmable G-Keys, you can make them do anything you want. Each key has up to 3 different settings, for a total of 54 programmable keys! It has a few other bells and whistles too, like the ability to turn off the Windows key by way of a little switch on the keyboard, a VERY handy feature! This thing is rock solid as well, a very well built keyboard!

I was thinking of buying one of these but I like the laptop style keys, and razer are the only gaming keybords that have them.

Yeah, I looked at both the Razer's and Logitech when I last got a new keyboard. I personally went with the Logitech G15.

Doesn't have near the G keys the 11 has, but when I bought my G15, the other two keyboards in this line didn't yet exist.

As for my mouse, I use the Microsoft SideWinder Mouse.

Cap'n Drow

NICE keyboard, Thagarr! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

I really wanted a G-15 Cap'n Drow, that little LCD could be very useful in a lot of situations! I didn't care for the newer G-15's with the orange backlight though, and some of the older models tended to have a problem with letters wearing off the keys. Those G keys were what won me over though, and they have come in very handy.

Stallion, thanks mate! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />

I came really close to buying one of these boards, they were the closest I could find to what my old Model M was. I just couldn't see paying that kind of a price for one, these things aren't cheap at all!

Baahhh.. good grief. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> Another hard drive f**k up. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" /> Don't expect me to play anything this week. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> *sigh* That is some shit I just did not need! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" />

I use a 7 year old TINY keyboard which has no hot keys or anything and a cheap laser mouse from Tesco. I did have Atk 3 Joystick but broke it. I also have an old Microsoft gamepad but it has the old 90's type of connection so i cant use it in my machine. So I cant really say what i like, save a keyboard and mouse! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
