Bought this game a week ago, great RPG game. Excellent story line and lots of quests to hone your talents and battle skills. Along with main story quests there are other forms of entertainment. Play dice poker with selected novice gambler such as Hookers, gamblers to increase your standing to profesional gambler.
Taverns you can test your skill in boxing, from wimpy fighters to tough fighters, of course your betting on yourself to win. Fisticuffs and swordplay requires double tap on W,A,S,D, keys for dodge evade manouvers.
Interface is interesting as it requires some logic in applying awarded Talents, along with aquiring Signs to apply magic. Mix your own potions finding or purchasing gredients to enhance your magic skills or Stamina and endurance in battle.
Upgrade your weapons and armor are also options in the game by finding stones and runes to apply to your swords. Witcher carries two swords, Steel for humans and silver for monsters. Really enjoy this game as there are a lot of twists and turns in quest story as well as side entertainments. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> RLB, didn't know there was a trainer for this game, Playing act 2 and almost finished, pretty much have a decent feel for battle techniques, fair amount to learn about mixing potions to make bombs , healing and magic potions.A trainer may come in handy, thanks for the tip.

Cylon, ye be need'n at least a 6600GT and 1 GB Ram with 2.4 GHZ CPU. I run 2.4 GHZ E6600 dual core , 2GB Ram with Factory superclocked 8800GT, 22" monitor 1680 x 1050 resolution with all game settings maxed to get all eye candy manage 30-60 FPS is adequate for smooth performance <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

But not for too long, soon I'll pay myself a new pc, and maybe try it, all I really want is to make better reskins with better programs faster and more effectively and, with some tutirial reading, new ship models <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />. Don't even try Vista. It isn't better than xp, mate! What I can tell you is that, for modding, for gamers, it is better to have XP, when I'll buy my pc, the first thing I'll do is to change to windows XP. I'm telling you, theres a lot of games that bug on vista. I know, I know : Now, a bunch of people that ADMIRE Vista will come to this topic and kick my butt for saying bad things of their windows, lol. But, really, I've tried vista and theres still a lot of bugs. That's due to the to soon release of Vista. Microsoft say that Vista is compatible at 100% with all the programs that were running on older windows. They lie, the % is about... 78%. Thats a buggy windows, I say! But, anyway, I haven't heard of any bug on Vista concerning PotC and the Builds. The only one was from Pieter and it was about the Inez Tool. Vista is still too new.

One of things forgot to mention is you can get option for drinking contest with certain NPC, open your inventory when you get this option and pick yer poison, you will get a cutscreen showing you and your victim guzzl'n back a bottle, you can actualy get drunk in this game if you had too much to dring,the room gets fuzzy and you will have swagger to yer walk. If your victim has too much,he or she will say I've had enuff and will give you the info you need for quest. You also need to be carefull how much you drink cause you can pass out. as well. First time tried this, could barely walk and had major case whirly birds <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />

you can do something like that in PotC too. i ended up lispeling against some guard about me avenging my drinking friend because the guard had supposedly insulted him. i was pretty dead after that. and i'm pretty sure my 'friend' had set me up too. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Abundance of loot to be had in the dice poker game.Today when from Novice to Proffesional Poker Player and play'n with poffesionals is hard cause not many will play with you when your Novice,

This is really rich. Got invited to a Banquet for the Kings daughter, Princes Ada. Really fit in well, wealthy Merchants, City Councilors, Nobleman include'n bodyguards an such, and I'm mingl'n with this bunch Pack'n two swords and dressed to kill. Anyhow had eventualy a chance to chat with the princes wench and seemed the only way she would carry a further conversation with a Witcher is if ye fetch her a rare dish she craved for.
Just happend to have my favorite sorceress with me at this shindig, so got her to conjure up this rare dish. Sanderd over to the Royal wench and gave her what she desired. Turns out she wanted more than just the rare dish. One of the dialog options was to talk dirty to her and of course could not resist this option. Mostly figur'n her bodyguards would try to give me a thrashing for what was said, instead she giggles and invites me to her humble room for some bump and grind.

Having a romp with the Kings daughter, wonder if I'm gonna get in trouble later for this
