The last pirate I met, got fitten for a wooden leg, if you know what I'm meaning!

Impressive! Very nice! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

I swear, every time you make a new texture, its a Jaw Dropper, Thomas. Nice work mate.

You can download them from the ftp. This is only compatible with 14a8 (any version which contains the period mod, and you need the English men too)

On to the Spanish!

YES! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

French, and, at least for me, no amount of retexturing is gonna change that <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

And, actually, what exactly were English soldiers wearing in 1600-1679? I tried to find some pictures and couldn't <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

For inspiration, I´d suggest this link: <a href="http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=190549" target="_blank">http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=190549</a>

It´s a mod for Medieval II Total War, covering the English Civil War. It gives a good impression of the style of clothes and armour worn during the 17th century.

Hot damn, Thomas - You rock good sir. your work as always is second to none. Well done, mate!

VERY impressive. Better than ever! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />
One of those Spaniards is pretty grumpy though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />

yeah, that third one looks nasty. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> i like it.

Thanks for the link.

Going back to that English soldier (yes, it still bugs me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ) - as far as I can tell, English soldiers in XVII century were just stopping wearing armor and helmets, so... Personally, to represent English soldier from XVII century I would take previous model and then retexture it to lose armor bits (but leave the helmeton, obviously).

And, as of right now, those models kinda start repeating itself:
XVI century - conquistador model,
XVII century - musketeeer model,
XVIII century - soldier and captain model.

So, any exception from above pattern would be rather nice, wouldn't you say? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Excellent work Thomas. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

As you can see, I have changed the 17th century soldier.

I am going to continue with the Dutch or the Portugese, and for Kazeite, yes those will not have exactly the same models <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

It is amazing work, Thomas. I really like the new english soldiers, the folds on the jacket of those frogs and the grey-uniformed spaniard. Such diversity among their faces, too. Your are an artist, as you probably already know..

I´m trying to change Grenada into a danish colony, not because removing Portugal is a personal vendetta to me, but because I think its a good way to start getting some insight on modding. That said, danish soldier skins made by you would be _more_ than welcome <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
However, I have some trouble replacing the flag-textures on the ships - I replaced the flagpor.tga.tx but now the portugese flags is red with the portugese emblem inside it - most weird, but I´ll probably figure it out.

Very, very good, Thomas!
It's real cool to see all these skins listed next to each other.
Clearly shows you the progress from time to time. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />
Do you think you could also improve the Spanish Zorri soldiers?
And how about you make a set for the personal soldiers as well? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Wow! Impressive! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

You can download them from the ftp. This is only compatible with 14a8 (any version which contains the period mod, and you need the English/French/Spanish too)

On to the Portugese!

Those armors... First one is rusty... And I agree with that look... Good/realistic/ect/ect... But others... Do they look like that only in screenshots? It look to bright to me... Or that just me?
