The last pirate I met, got fitten for a wooden leg, if you know what I'm meaning!

Check the first post, I have followed some advise, and I 'improved' the English, and gave the 1650-version another model.

no problem, thanks Thomas <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

The problem is, there are no good pictures of them! I can only find some of the late 18th century, but none of the 15 and 1600.

Be creative then. And listen to Bartolomeu for suggestions. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />

I´ve found a portuguese archer from the early 16th century. According to google, thats about all there is available.
No wonder, you could´nt find one! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Also, I think this site is based on characters out of pure imagination, but if you are left to your fantasy anyway, here´s a wide range of portuguese soldiers:

This link to the total war forum seems interesting. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
Meanwhile, I will try to find something else tomorrow..

It's difficult to find a portuguese uniform for the 16th or 17th century. At the moment, I just found a small image of a portuguese pikeman in 1640s.....

maybe, I could find more images but it's very hard to find them. But, you have beautiful uniforms from the beginning of the 18th century thanks to the link to the total war forum.
