The Kraken??

i certainly prefer the boarding idea, or my idea. the goods idea is not really appealing at all.
 
It's a matter of being realistic. What can be done in theory and what can be done in reality? And finally: What can WE do with the serious lack of modders we have nowadays. The Tool can import and export VML files and 3D Studio MAX can also import and export these files, so that's the way you can convert the files. One thing worth mentioning: The original game developers used Maya which makes for much better conversion. The Tool seems to mess up in some cases, such as the lighting on Tool-saved ships being reversed. You can find Maya 5 plus the Plugin required for exporting to GM on the <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10288" target="_blank">PotC FTP</a> if you want to give it a try that way.
 
I have NO idea. And as far as I know: Neither does anyone else. Inez Dias and High Sea Lass were the only people to be able to do something with animations, but it has been a long time ago since they were spotted on the forum. But they only ever modified existing characters using 3D Studio MAX and the Tool. One thing you might want to do: Make sure you have a look through the documentation provided with the Tool.
