Tales of Jack Sparrow

Hello !
I'm new here and I'm French, so I think I can't speak a perfect english !
Doesn't matter, I have a problem with the Legend of Jack Sparrow's Quest :
<span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>So I've started a new game, I've gone to Barbados. In the Tavern I met a guy who told me something about the Treasure of Cortez, he wants me to collect 2 red, blue and white skulls. But when I accept, the quest book doesn't change (It stay's at "If I need adventure, I'll go to the tavern" or something like that") Is it normal ? Now I've 2 white and red skulls but I don't find the 2 blue ones !</span> Please help me ! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I think that part of the quest isn't finished yet. If you get to Barbados, talk to the navy officer in port, then go to the tavern. There should be a beggar sitting on the floor. Talk to him. Alternatively, you can talk to the rather rich-looking character sitting at a table.

I'm going to get to work on making Build 14 Alpha 9 later today, which will, amongst others, contain the latest updates to the Jack Sparrow storyline. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Ehm, sorry but, now <span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>I have to go to "Island", but where is it ? It tryied to go to Tortuga but the fort attacks me everytime !</span> Can anybody help me ?

I did this, and I'm still getting shot at by the fort. Is there a guy somewhere I can pay off to improve my relations with pirates?

It could be because I did some shooting at them early in the game.

Hmm... Actually I just loaded an old one, and I'm starting at -60 from pirates, and my current is only at -65....

K/. As a test, I went and started a new game, immediately went to tortuga, rasied the pirate flag, and quick sailed to tortuga port. The fort opened up on me immedately.

I think this may be a bug ,as I suspect the fort is psychotic. I am 'pretty sure' in an eariler attempt to land, I saw the fort shoot up an NPC pirate ship. When I raise the pirate flag, I get the 'everyone hostile, pirates neutral' message, but the fort still shoots at me. Infact, the fort shoots at me from outside the cliffs. I've found this fort will shoot at me when I'm so far away I am able to leave and go to the map screen.

And they have devilish good aim.

Lol WOW. That must be a bug, you should post it here.

I recall Short Jack Gold had a problem with the Tortuga fort at some point in the Jack Sparrow quest too.
Probably there's a bug of some sort somewhere.
I'm wondering... IS the fort actually owned by the pirates? Can anyone check the flag flying from the top?
In real life, Tortuga was actually French and not pirate-owned.

Don't you have to raise the pirate flag *before* you log into Hispaniola for them to recognize you as a pirate? It's that way with the other nations' flags.

I have seen it a few times in 14.9 but not consistantly - the "easy" way to get around it it, is to sail into Turks port FIRST (you don't have to land) then sail to Tortuga and you will have no problem.

I think so, yes, but even then apparently you can get shot at. Even when you're <i>not</i> recignized. I think... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Truly a beautiful work! Congratulations.
But sin can not continue the storyline of Jack Sparrow.
When Barbossa meeting at the beach in Martinique, the dialogue stops ... nobody knows why?

There doesn't seem to be a flag flying, and when I look through my spyglass, I get only the name and the range. I tried going to turks, and they shoot at me. So I landed, wandered around, went over a bridge and into a cave and out the otherside of the cave, where there was an unexitable area. I then fast traveled back to my ship, which was the only option, and for a short time the pirates (locally) were friendly. I went to the port, landed, saved.

Then I sailed south. The tortuga fort shot me to ribbons again.

Is there a way I can go into the code and just turn their cannons off?

Interisitngly, one of the times I tried to sail south, when I made the trasition, I then checked my 'relations.'

I have a pirate flag, and pirates have a 'hostile reaction based on flag. Normally they are hostile wiht a 'friendly' reaction based on flag, at least 'offically.'

I think those issues had better be posted on the <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?autocom=tracker&showproject=1" target="_blank">bug tracker</a>. They need to be looked into. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
