If you exchange that file with this one the firedrill effects will play on the playership only. (Unrar AND unzip it) Could you try if that fixes the soundproblems?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I have the July 22, 2005 file so I guess I'll not be able to test this as it just crashes at startup.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I can't start POTC with this file. It crash on startup screen with the following error message.

"Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Libary

Debug Error!

Program: C\Programme\Games\Pirates of the Caribbean\EINGINE.exe

abnormal program termination
(Press retry to debug the application)"
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Sorry for that, it works on my fresh modpack installation <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> Has anyone else the same problem?
What you could check if you are willing to take the trouble:

-is the file uncompressed? Does it appear in the explorer as AIship.C , not .zip or .rar ?

-is it garbled? Can you open it with notepad and is the code readable?

-maybe your codebase differs from mine. I took this file out of the Oct24 modpack with update.

-do you have an errorreport in the error.log file (see this thread on how to switch errorlogs on )

I check it it again.

-Yes, the file is uncompressed. It appear as AIship.c, but I've noticed that the file only has the half size of the original AIship.c file. Is that correct or should it be bigger?
Maybe the download is faulty, but I try it six times to download it and I always get the same file with the same size.

-It can be opened with notepad, but it is unreadable.

-There is no error report created, though I have activated the errorlog in the engine.ini. Don't know why. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

I think my downloaded file is damaged so I can't test it properly.

Oh dear ... this is troubling.

I get it as a zip, it decompresses fine, is readable, and is only a few K larger than mine which is older.

Today, I did a transfer with an officer from whom I first changed the outfit and he didn't revert back to his original one! So, judging by this one test, it seems to be fixed. Try it a few more times with other officers and if it still works ... post the code. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />

I'm afraid I don't know what code it is... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

As of Nov. 22 Post B12mod pack release, the tailor bug still exists!

It is linked to the use of armor and may have been introduced with the armored skin versions!

Good news is that an easy work around for anyone experiencing this bug is:

a. From the officer whose skin keeps reverting to original, remove any/all armor.
b. In Character interface, assign to the officer, the skin of your choice.
c. In exchange items interface, give armor back to said officer.

That should keep the officer in proper attire during subsequent item exchanges.

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> there Petros.

Thanks for the tip there, matey. I'll be trying that one out.

Cheers <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
