Silent Hunter 3

I can make some more pictures. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> by the way I nabbed that red hull (bottom) and deck texture from that skin what my sub had on that picture and put it on the stock game's Type IIA skin. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> I made my own skin for me sub! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" /> I just have to make that deck texture a little lighter to match with the whiteish grey hull (top). I like that maroonish red bottom much better than that black. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

I dont' normally play modern warfare games but for SH3 I made an exeption. the graphics and realism is just so vast! and i like the way you get a mission editor with too. My only real critisism is that you can't free roam but I guess this wansnt an option in the war so it just adds to the realism. I like the X subs best cos of the aft-firing torpedoes and deck guns. Nice pictures by the way!

Yeah I don't normally play modern warfare games either.. they are boring. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" /> But SH 3 I like because of the subs and abilty to roam underwater. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> By the way I looked what subs that SH 4 has and I must say that those subs what are in SH 4 don't look cool as those U-boats are. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> I mean that U-boats look cool also when on surface but those subs in SH 4 don't look cool even when submerged and when they are on surface they just look butt-ugly and their conning tower is just too long. Those U-boats have submarine feel to it but subs what are in SH 4 don't have this submarine feel and their area what shows out of the water when the sub is surfaced is just a butt-ugly shape, a stupid hybrid of some warship and a sub, in other words it's a warship's top area put onto some big black boring boiler/tank/whatever and those modern subs look.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sick.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eww" border="0" alt="sick.gif" /> TERRIBLE BIG PLAIN DILDOS PAINT IN BLACK! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" /> Really they ARE BORING and BUTT-UGLY, butt-uglier than those ships in SH 4. Why the heck they haven't tried to build subs like Nautilus from that book (don't know the name exactly) nowdays. Nautilus looks a beautiful ship and has a good submarine feel to it, only U-boats seem to come closer to Nautilus alike look (especially Type VII series). I guess that's why I like those U-boats.

Anyways I'm gonna try to get this GWX mod package when I get my rig back from repairment. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> After I have got this GWX I'll see what benefits it has. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> I mainly want it to fix the bugs what I have been experiencing in that game (SH 3). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
the nautilus has a great many different designs. some of them are in fact in steampunk style.

DO, Aye; I;d have to agree with you on the Dildo comment. (This is Wolves of the pacific were on about here isnt it). I think the Us just have so much more soul. Aye; I think another strength of SH3 is the water effects; its just delice. I helped make trhe game, 'Ship Simulator 2008' (Sound Scout) and I know they had one hell of a time with the water effects, and even now its nowhere near perfect.

Agreed. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Water does look good in that game, wierd thing is that SH 3's water doesn't make my computer lagging but PotC's water does it when looking at it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I get pretty smooth fps on the open sea in Silent Hunter III, but in PotC it lags even when at open sea and because of that I had to set resolution to 800x600 to get the game running smoother at seas. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Lag seems to be a ever-present thing in PotC when I'm at sea. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

I think it's the Build Mod that causes it - I never had lag in the stock game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

yeah, that's one of the reasons why i prefer build 12.1. it doesn't lag.
