Pre Build 13 Modpack

hummm i dunno if this is build or post build thingy, but is there any way to get back the old sail emblems for the nations? cause personally i liked them better, was more of a AOP feel to POTC <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Also any way op optionally choosing extended greenford? cause i preferr the stock cities as they are <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
 
You can turn the enlarged Oxbay off in PROGRAM\BuildSettings.h . You want to turn "#define GREATER_OXBAY" to 0. You'll need to start a new game for the change to take effect.

You can keep the old sail emblems, yes. Take the old emblems and copy them over the new ones. They're in the RESOURCE\Textures\Ships folder. Files: parus_<i>nationname</i>.tga.tx . Just overwrite them with the old ones and it should work fine.
 
hmmm i cant seem to be able to restore the old "Fleur de Lis" on the french sails, i just get the blue one <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />
 
I have a new modpack update about ready for upload. I already post the new features here, though it'll take a bit longer to actually upload the files.

- Hoist the flag mod rewritten by Mad-h (old code crashed the game; let's hope this works better)
- Jack Rackam's ammo mod added in!!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />
- New Jack Sparrow character skins by Daede
- Swindler: Bugfixes to shipberthing mod and select sails mod (I left them out last time, because it caused trouble, but it seems to be working now - I must've made a mistake merging them in)
- Bugfix to the force dialog button, so that you can loot corpses again while having your sword drawn
- Some additional bugfixes by CCC, including fixes for the Greater Oxbay mod
- Improved Boss model by Petros
- New ship model by Petros
A new game will be required.

I will wait until tomorrow with uploading the files. With a bit of luck, I'll receive some more stuff to include before then. Hope that's OK with everyone.

BTW: Do you people reckon the new islands mod could/should be added into the modpack, rather than having it as an additional download? There seems to be at least one really ridiculous bug in the last modpack: If you practice swordfighting with Malcolm, every time you level up, he'll think you can't fight. I tried your last modpack and I have a problem now.
Non of the storekeepers can find their dialogs anymore.
What can I do?

Problem solved, just had the update file and not the updated base version.
Now everything works fine again.

I downlaoded the new pack and it is working fine so far, except I seem to be carrying a Letter of Marque for all nations including France. I am playing stormy start and started on Dowessen. This error is a new one for me. Any ideas?

I'm just about to download the new updates and am indeed looking forward to trying out all the new features (some such as JR's Ammo mod and Petros's merchant I've already been using). The Maltese Abbey and Screwface's Crew Mod sound great. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Regarding the New Islands Mod, when it first appeared I tried it out and thought that this was going to be a great addition with more developement, but decided to stick with just the original islands with the Mod pack. However, as it has since been more fully developed, it is now by choice my preferred format. I think it has developed sufficiently (there are now enough functional locations, NPCs and quest options) to warrant inclusion in the Mod Pack. I would vote yes for inclusion.

I am using the ammo mod for the first time. Can anyone tell why anny time I add ammo, I automatically equip a blunderbuss?

I've just try the last modPack.

I'm sorry to report the usually (for me <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> ) game crash during melee fight (at land and during boarding).

I would like continue to update an old modpack version (dated jul/05) that it's a little more stable (never crash during melee fight, in general never crash at all), I'm very pleased if someone would explain me how add new ships, crewmember and new ship cabins mod to this version (what files should be copy from the last modpack) <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

You could try using WinMerge to make a comparision between both codebases. But can you please turn on error logging and show the error log? Maybe we can figure out why you're having trouble. Do you have the CORPSEMODE on 3? If so: set it to 1.
 
I haven't got the slightest idea about getting a Letter of Marquee from all nations. It's certainly not <i>supposed</i> to happen. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
Don't know about the Blunderbuss-equipping either. Seems like a gun is equipped every time you get yourself shots. But it doesn't always equip the gun you want. Maybe the feature where a new gun is equipped when you buy ammo should be turned off.

Did a walkthrough of the haunted abbey and Greenford suburb and fort. Everything worked perfect, and not a single line in the errorlog. As for adding Screwface's great new islands: I'd welcome that. If we had one only version of the codebase it would be easier to make our mods compatible.

I started a second new game with the new update and the problem refered to earlier re: Letters of Marque is not present. Who knows. Also every time I buy ammo now I am equiping a short pistol not a blunderbuss, but I wonder why it doesn't highest value firearm instead of lowest. I love the feature, but....

Also, I have never been able to get the fast equip button #2 pistol to work. The other keys work fine, but this one doesn't. Anyone else having that problem?
 
I have a strange thing with the letter of marque... I just start the game and I have one from every nation...

I have played two new games with stromy start and have encountered the Leter of Marque bug both times. I belive it is triggered by one of two things since I didn't start with it. In both games I started as expected with England firendly, Protugal fiendly, France hostile, Pirate hostile, and either Holland or Spain hostile, the other neutral or freindly.

In both games I first notcied that my relations with England had dropped to neutral and all other nations including France had an LOM, Pirates reamining hostile when I ecnconterd a vessel at sea and tried to engage. IMO that engagement is the most likely trigger of the LOMs. The other possibility is that it could be triggered by the completion of a pirate hunting mission.
