Perhaps they'll bring back the cannons in this allegedly, forthcoming patch (the one that was reported over at Cutless Isle - well I think it was there?).

I also hope that we wont just have to chase one person all the time, i.e. Raymondo, Mendosa, Monty. I read in a post here, from the beta testers, that it was always someone different?

mendoza shud be different cuz u can get more than one mendoza sailling.

I know the graphics for the land cannon are still there, but has anybody seen one in a battle??

I've not,apparently thar be grahic files that are in folder that got left out O' de game,guess they rushed it fer the holiday season,hopefully we will see them implemented in a patch someday <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

As I posted, oh maybe 2 months ago, Sid stated in an interview, the cannons were removed from the game.. I cannot remember the exact reason that was quoted, something about not wanting to turn this into a turn based war game..or something similar.
