I find Russia hardest; Prussia always I seem to win with; you need to focus on conquering Poland and Saxony for Prussia to work out really; from there, her good food production and cheap units prove really handy! I find russia a deathtrap! I gues were all different <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> haver you played as Ottoman? Now THATS hard. Your halfway through the first era while the other empires are into the third! That said, if you time it just right you can pretty much disable Russia by taking theyre lands; u goota do it right at the beginning tho else youll be left behind.

Morgan, that free formation thing sounds like a blo*** wonder! I know in Medieveal Total war you can select the size of your formation by dragging. I use Dragoons (Basically cavalry archers, only with Muskets) to attract attention too; Im halfway through a charge when I halt them and order them to fire on the infatry they were charging; this is great cos Infatry will always form a square if being charged and if you time it just right you can take out pretty much half the unit. I guess cos thyre so tightly packed in square form, then when they reform line to fire on you, just continue charging them and if they dont charge you, you can pretty much wreck em without even starting to fight! i love dragoons! I didnt realise you had Romans in pr!

it's not as great as it sounds. all roman unit groups come in a square, with a few exceptions. you can then put these squares into any formation you like, just like in any other RTS. barbarian and eqyptian units come in more mob-like groups. of course, there's always the phalanx as an exception.

With this sucky connection my only hope is to fetch it as a full version from torrent sites because regular downloading just screws up all the time and it's really a pain in the arse to download that demo with connection this sucky.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> torrent programs at least continue when connection comes back but with regular downloading you allways have to friggin' start downloading it all over again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" />

Hey Stallion, you could tell me about Empire Earth II since you seem to know it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I've read that it is real-time strategy which has Civilization games elements.. is that managing your kingdom's economy and such? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> If its so then I would definitely have a look at it because those general kill-'em-all RTSs just tend to get boring to me, like Warcraft III or Age of Mythology for example. Settlers The Heritage Of kings was more interesting to play but.. where is the blood.. and ships? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Does Empire Earth II has ships and blood too? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
I'd say it's somewhat economy-oriented, although I didn't play it that much when I had it installed. I thought it was different, as there's so many stages your civilization develops through during the game. It actually has less content than the original (you can't take your people into space, among other things). There are ships in the game, but I don't remember if there's any blood.

Them screenshots are pretty nice; if Im honest, I havn't heard much about this game before.
