Changing an uncursed ship into a cursed one is easier than the other way around.
The general idea is that this way, you get two for the p;rice of one.

The height of the camera is based on the height of the main hull, excluding the masts. The Revenge has a very high stern.
For some ships, masts or flag poles are included in the main hull; that can also move the camera higher up.

The pearl is lower than the Dutchman. And what kind of pole is the flag and how to check it?

Use GM Viewer and look at the hull model. Some ships, such as the Bellona, have a flagpole built into the hull model.

The Black Pearl doesn't have a flagpole but its stern is also high - not as high as that of Queen Anne's Revenge, but about as high as that of the Flying Dutchman. And that's before you take the lanterns into account. Those on top of the high stern will probably be why the Black Pearl camera is higher than that of the Dutchman.
