Boarding

But could I recapture them? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" /> I don't want my MoW to be lost forever...

Once surrendered, they are indeed captured. You can sail up to them and hit F3 for boarding and go immediately to the surrendered captain dialog.
All I'm saying here, is adding another option to the ransack dialog to leave it and leave them as surrendered so you can come back and ransack later.

But then, shouldn't we set the ones we capture to surrendered? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" /> And maybe add an option to surrender our own ship, and escape to another. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

I'm...not sure I understand what you mean.
Right now, the only way to 'capture' a ship is to board it. If the surrender-during-boarding check is true -or- the ship has already surrendered on sea mode, you go to ransack captain (Captain XXX Surrendered).
However, once there you have to either take as prize or sink the ship.
The proposed change, from this thread, is to add an option to the ransack screen, leave as surrendered. That would be in effect a 'pause' for ransacking--so you could come back later and take or sink the ship.

Neat idea for self-surrender!
