I hadn't took the time to look at them. And I admit that I don't like them much, it would be interesting to know on what basis they've made them like that, what sources did they used.

Now, for you textures, I personnaly agree with Chris Roupé - look at the collar or the fleur de lys... honestly, a few extra work wouldn't harm. No offend attempted of course!<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Hm... already 2 said that I still need to work... Whell you see... I tryed to make it better even before posting here... Believe me... this is best variation that I did... But I didn't edited it after posting armor images... I might try to make it better, but It will be esear if someone whould say where I need to start... Becouse I like them as it is and "Almost" Can't find anny "Bugs"... And those texts as "Armor looks strange" or smt like that doesn't help...

then what do the plain and battle armor look like in comparison? as i don't see the battle armor. only gold and plain armor.

I Just didn't made screens of it... Al armors can be seen in the preveus screen from editor... By right order afcourse...

It's just that we had been doing some thinking on reducing filesize. Thomas the Terror now made one portrait for the soldiers of each nation so that no matter of the time period and the set of soldiers, all models always use the same portrait. That saves hundreds of custom portrait files. I was wondering if we should do something similar for Blaze and Jack variations. But that is just me thinking aloud; not sure if it IS a good idea. And having the correct interface picture would always be better, if only filesize wouldn't have been an issue. But then Build 14 is going to be at least 1 GB anyway. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Fair enough. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Why not the gipsycaptain model with the different armors for my main quest ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" />

Ah! That would be a brilliant idea! Indeed your main quest's character should have armor enabled just like the other main characters. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
Or perhaps you could request another custom model to be used as Bartolomeu o Portugues. I have gotten quite used to the gypsycaptain model as Bartolomeu though, so I'd be fine with keeping that one. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I would like to keep the gipsycaptain model as Bartolomeu o Portugues. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> .

BlazeBlack Already is in FTP...Search under SuperDurnius subforlder...

BTW: What is this talk about gipsycaptain???

The gypsycaptain is one of the character models in the Build 13 modpack. Bartolomeu is using it as the main character for his new main quest. Since it will be used as the player model in the new quest, it would be nice if armor would show on him. So if you'd like to add armor to him, that'd be most appreciated. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

I don't care. What looks best. Perhaps Bartolomeu has some input on this one.

No Probl... My pleasure...

HI,

How do you get the game to recognise that a model is an armor model ?.

What need to be changed, other than the model & textures , so that the armor mod can be implemented ?

You need to edit PROGRAM\models\initModels.c ... For egz.: for BlazeBlack you just add this: <!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->  //------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  //Officers By SuperDurnius -->
    makeref(model,Models[n]);
    model.description =  "Give me something with black trousers and black vest, in the Russian style.";
    model.id       =  "BlazeBlack";
    model.FaceId    = "401";
    model.nation      =  PERSONAL_NATION;
    model.price       =  500;
    model.assigned    =  true;
    model.name = "Blaze";
    model.lastname = "Black";
    AssignModelType(isstart, &model, OFFIC_TYPE_FIRSTMATE, 1.0);
    n++;

    makeref(model,Models[n]);
    model.description =  "Give me something with black trousers and black vest, in the Russian style.";
    model.id       =  "BlazeBlack_A1";
    model.FaceId    = "BlazeBlack";
    model.nation      =  BROKEN;
    model.price       =  1000;
    model.assigned    =  true;
    n++;

    makeref(model,Models[n]);
    model.description =  "Give me something with black trousers and black vest, in the Russian style.";

    model.nation      =  BROKEN;
    model.price       =  4000;

    makeref(model,Models[n]);
    model.description =  "Give me something with black trousers and black vest, in the Russian style.";
    model.id       =  "BlazeBlack_A3";
    model.FaceId    = "BlazeBlack";
    model.nation      =  BROKEN;

EDIT:
P.S. Tomorow will add this note to readme on FTP...

Hi,
This is what I had used but it didn't work:
--------------------------------------------------------------
makeref(model,Models[n]);
model.description = "Crew cut,Grey trousers, red leather boots, and a shirt that fits loose and will show off some muscles!";
model.id = "capstan";
model.FaceId = "301";
model.nation =ENGLAND;
model.price = 1500;
model.assigned = true;
AssignModelType(isstart, &model, "Mates", 1.0);
AssignModelTypeNation(isstart, &model, "Sailors", 0.5, ENGLAND);.
AssignModelType(isstart, &model, OFFIC_TYPE_CANNONEER, 1.0);
n++;

//Armor Mod<--
makeref(model,Models[n]);
model.description = "Crew cut,Grey trousers, red leather boots,sword belt ,and a shirt that fits loose, will show off some muscles!";
model.id = "capstan_A2";
model.FaceId = "302";
model.nation = BROKEN; // we autoassign it elsewhere
model.price = 2000;
model.assigned = true;
n++;

makeref(model,Models[n]);
model.description = "Crew cut,Grey trousers, dark brown leather boots, and a shirt that fits loose,& a waistcoat and sword belt, and the kid gloves are off";
model.id = "capstan_A3";
model.FaceId = "303";
model.nation = BROKEN; // we autoassign it elsewhere
model.price = 2500;
model.assigned = true;
n++;

makeref(model,Models[n]);
model.description = "Crew cut,Grey trousers,dark leather gold trim boots, and a shirt that fits loose,waistcoat & headband , bare knuckled, he made a good Pirate!";
model.id = "capstan_A4";
model.FaceId = "304";
model.nation = BROKEN; // we autoassign it elsewhere
model.price = 3000;
model.assigned = true;
n++;
//Armor Mod <--

---------------------------------------------------

I'm not using it for armor , it's to upgrade characters appearance as he advances in rank\skill etc.

Cheers
