A Parrot in need

Hurrah, this is cool. Cat, once you've designed a texture file, could I see the tga and try out my own variations?

(NK could even do for the parrot what he did for your sneaky trader, giving him an eyepatch.)

Alan: No curvature near the eye, so it'd be painted on. I'm on a lowpoly diet for the bird, since it'd be in addition to the pchar's model.

Nathan, 3ds is fine, but there's no hurry, I'll start with the characters that *have* a skeleton, and when we can change those animations, the next step is to get a skeleton "into" the parrot.
Have you ever made a skeleton in Max? And if so, could that be recorded in MaxScript so we get the numbers ? What I need to know is the hierarchy of the joints and their distance from each other. But don't worry, I can do it myself if need be.

And, before anyone gets their hopes up high - this is not easy, so it's going to take some time.

Hmm, I haven't done much boning. The few times I did characters, I used CS's preset skeletons.

An even worse symptom of moderitis is if you have nightmares like this:
I was frantically running through Oxbay dungeon, and i couldn't get out because I had messed up the exit locators. Suddenly the place was swarming with skeleton parrots who relentlessly kept croaking: "Bird feed!" and "You gonna die 'ere, modder!". Then they attacked me with their poisoned beaks and acidic droppings that burned holes in my texture. I tried to draw my "slightly used" Parrotslayer, but I was stunned by the voice of Micky Mouse which roared "Hmm, that's not a good idea... Your sleep was interupted here. Something is going to happen...". But nothing ever happens.
And thus quoth the parrot: "NEVERMORE"

Time to see my psychiatrist...

Re: creation of new models. I'm gonna send Inez' a vrml of an anvil I found, for a blacksmith's shop. I found out how to add models to locations through coding, since I can't edit the whole location model...

But if this model doesn't work, does someone feel like making me a model of an anvil, and maybe some other relevant little items, like hammers and tongs and whatever else you'd find at a blacksmith's? Thanks.

You know, since Disney took "Korsary Dva" over and wrecked it, we ought to go them one better and make an ultra Disneyfied version of our own... all cartoon stars and falling anvils (even though that's a WB trademark), characters with big heads and eyes and huge white gloves... And all the swords are foam and the guns shoot darts.
 
It would definitely have to have Captain Cook, Peter Pan, and Tinkerbell though.
