You could rename your ship: "The Mexican Hat Dance" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />
I dont use any MODS, but im up to get a skin, because the NATHIEL is damn ugly, Im angry because i get his flat ass up in my screen! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />
 
Well you CAN change the Nathaniel skin if you DO use mods.

And as for renaming my ship "The Mexican Hat Dance" - I resent that. We're not a part of Mexico....yet. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> But they are taking over.
 
Oh, Okay.. I just installed build 12 mod, and i like it.. Just need to figure out how i do if i wanna do so i dont meet HIGH leveled ships!
 
I recently got a pirate light frigate, that ship is the best vessel on the Spanish main! It took me forever to get it though, I was sailing a galleon and trying to chase down and board a light frigate with a galleon is like trying to chase a fox with a turtle: its slow work and when you get to him he's stronger than you!
 
Got a corvette atm, though I'm aiming to get that nice Mephisto asap. Best part is I've named her 'Serenity'. As Capn Tightpants would say, A job is a job, nothing turned away, whether I'm hunting dirty rotten pirates <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> , smuggling goods, ferrying passengers, or planning to hit an Alliance ... err, I mean a French owned fort.

All I need now is a couple female crewmembers (Kaylee - high repair skill, Zoe - high melee, Inarra - hmm... high commerce?) to go along with some renamed crew I'll pick up along the way - Wash (high sailing), Book (luck?), Simon (I dunno... defense?), and Jayne (another high melee?). I have no idea what I'd do with Rain... there's no 'crazy chick' attribute <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

i enablet the black pearl, and bought it in redmont
and of course my char is Jack Sparrow .......
but i dont bother put up pics, everybody has seen both
(boat ..... ups .... i mean ship and char)

I play the nathanial hawk model 'cause I like it the most (looks the most 'special' to me..)
I had captured a fast schooner with my lugger that had about 19.80 speed <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":|" border="0" alt="mellow.gif" /> I thought I could find such ships again so I removed myself of it when getting the mefisto frigate. Which isn't all that good.. for me.
I always play to conquer enemy ships, boarding, and then selling them for a crapload of gold. Or keeping them if they're special/needed. I'm at the end of hte game (gotta beat the black pearl) but i don't know why, it just keeps healing itself when i got it down to 9hp..
My armada consists out of the mefisto frigate, jurgen's frigate, some manowar I captured for capturing greenford(altered pirates and coast guard to class 1 max.) and shileshard's manowar. I even captured and randsome'd the bastards! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> When I'm done beating the black pearl, I'ma go capture all the cities. It's that I'm somehow stuck with artios voisey that I cannot finish that quest (he just wont get shot at any harbor anymore, after installing the mod) and get the quad barrel pistol (thinking it will be an excellent one?). I'm interested in the mod-quests aswell!

As for the ship's names..

i got some info for you about the xebec BR, it was either made by a muslim or was based on a muslim ship or boat.
egyptian or saudi or maybe even kuwaiti!

My signature shows my ship and my character quite well...

Like it? <b>74</b> guns... <b>24</b>pdrs lower deck, <b>18</b>pdrs middle. Guns topside are <b>12</b>pdrs. Ha ha ha! (And a red ensign flying from the gaff, not to mention the <b>Commodore's pendant </b>flying from the main truck!)

If I were to have a ship in-game as described above?
Think of a battleship's hull, slap enlarged corvette's rig on it, paint it like the black/gold corvette, and put a large red ensign on the gaff, a broad pendant on the main. It is swarming with little figures preparing the guns that will sink your ship. Oh, and add three other ships exactly like it behind the ship, forming a line of battle. "Signal - Close Action!"

If I used a model from PotC?
I use the rncpt_1 skin in the JMV pack. A fine scrapper pistol, and a fine Squall.

EDIT: I now use the Sol_74_gun!

The xebec was built and used by the Barbary States, I believe. (Consisting of Turkey and assorted countries in north Afircia which would be Tunsinia, Algeria, Egypt, etc.) Want to read a great book with lots of xebecs? Read <u>The Flag Captain </u>by Alexander Kent. One of the Richard Bolitho series.

I copied CorvFrig2_50_reyd4.gm . that is both sail and flagg. NK work I think.
Renamed it to galeoth1_rey_a2.gm and galeoth1_ rey_a3.gm. Also I took mast1 from scooner.
and hull from Brig 16. And used ines diaz TOOL.

I have uploaded my smuggler as galeoth1 to ftp.
If you like to test/use it rename original folder galeoth1 to Xgaleoth1. before
you put modded galeoth1 to "Pirates of the Caribbean/RESOURCE/MODELS/Ships" folder.
To Petros If you like to make it a separate ship and make a new smuggler texture i will be wery happy.
It uses other modders work NK sail+Flag Ithink. not sure and hull+skin(texture) is from Brig16.
I hope you like it and do some smugglin runs with it.
Smugglers do no harm they work against monopolies.
