one crankshaft is done. started on the second.

wait... ronald? did i just completely miss the exchanging of the names? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> meanwhile, there's no steering. the second crankshaft was really easy to do though, because i could copy and paste it. required a little swinging around, but it's more or less in position. needs a little shitfing to the middle. it looks exactly like a pipewrench somehow. that only got worse when i started swinging it round the pivot point.
 
Bleh, I got up here after putting yer airship full of Llamas and then ronald came in the direction of airship and

right, connecting the crankshaft up to the piston next. this could get fiddly. however, there's a problem: this engine is a two-cylinder quarter-stroke engine. all the weight of the crankshafts and the cranks themselves will be on one side of the main shaft at a time, and being mounted on something hanging from ropes, the results would seem rather hazardous to our balance to me. i'll have to rig up some counterbalancing device which i'll have to invent myself.

they seem to be following us. maybe they want more socks.

whew. second crankshaft's done. that was some very messy business. and that's only half the work. now i need to make the regulator shafts, pivots and boxes.
