Who wants new guns?

hehehehe....i love those battles. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> too bad my computer can't handle them.
 
Hehe, my CannonFX looks real sweet in large scale battles <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

i cant wait for the day thou we can figure out how to carry a mixed cannon loadout, lower deck with 32 pounders, 24 on the second gundeck and 12 pounders on the top deck.

Allthou i wonder if we cant do it to some degree already, i have noticed in Alpha 7 that you can buy and sell cannons from the different sides, chasers and broadsides ect, maybe we could somehow for a start set perhaps so that different sides can carry different calibers? perhaps limit the use of 68 pounders to the bow and stern chasers, sort of like the victory had just two "smasher" carronades.
 
Well, you have of course to take care, that you don't install 4lb guns on the left and 32lb guns on the right ... could lead to unexpected results otherwise (if implemented <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />)

me too. besides, it would solve petros' problem with the dark cannons. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> or make it worse, depending on how you see it.

what man o war does Vanderdecken have in his pics? cause i want that one badley it lookes better than the one i have now.

Did you try them ingame? Personally I find they look good on deck, but on the side view of the ship, the contrast between the hull and the cannons is somewhat lost. Still I do think the cannons are supposed to be black. That's the way they are on the real replica of the Amsterdam. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

These cannons look far better than the previous/original cannons, they really look like diecasted cannons now! The only thing is, they seem so black they "glitter" in the sun from above....Therefore my theory was: if they are adjusted a BIT more "greyish", they would look more worn and realistic...Maybe I am wrong?

The side issue you mention? I think its looking great! Maybe the ships needs gunports to get the right perspective? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
 
i think it should be matted black, instead of polished-every-day black.

it looks like he made it himself. there's one like it in the build, but without all the gilding and decoration on it.
 
if you still want one, try the guber manowar, or the ship of the line. those are black, although not as evil-looking as that one.
 
already have those ships in dry dock along with the mefisto. which is my flag ship god knows why i go with a frig instead of a man o war or line ship.

ah just thought of this is the gruber like Vanderdecken but with a black and blue look and yellow figure head? if not then i may have not seen it yet
