well, youball <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> , build 14a6 is the test version for new features. you need to know certain bugs so you can work around them, but it contains more stuff than build 13. the updates for build 13 mainly contain stuff from build 14 that has been confirmed working properly.
things you need to know so you don't skrew up while playing:
DO NOT sink the souvereign of the seas before you finish the main quest! if you do, this kills the game.
DO NOT capture greenford before you finish the main quest.
with the 'strange things going on in the archipelago' quest, don't run ahead of things. play the quest as if you never played it before and still have to find out how to play it. in case you really didn't play it before, you start it by talking to the women standing in front of the governors house on douwesen. you HAVE TO follow the instructions and tips you recieve, and read your quest book every time an entry is made to avoid mistakes. this quest is a sort of second main quest.
if you have to sink some ships for a large quest, so not a pirate hunting mission, DO NOT capture the last ship that you need to defeat. as you get transported to another location after you defeat all of them, and you defeat them after you defeat the last captain, the boarding screen or location loads at the same time as the location you are transported to, completely skrewing up the game.
a very good idea is to land at the lighthouse when you have to land on oxbay late in the main quest as it can make the game a lot easier.
also: at a certain point, you get shipwrecked. then, the game runs in slow motion for some reason until you land at another island. no need to be alarmed, just a small temporary annoyance.
