Where`s My Wife?

davfra

Landlubber
I finally managed to marry the beautiful daughter of the Governor of Florida Keys and the sneaky Spaniards have taken over.
Where can I find her again?
David

Ye should be able te go back to Florida Keys an she should still be thar mate,if yer at war wid spanish an can't enter town,ye can go te Jesuit settlements an Padre will offer ye amnisty wid Spanish if ye go with him <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Get a load of men, sack the city, turn it back French or whatever.

Otherwise, if you sneak in, she will have had a major makeover.

Yeah, funny thing, governors come and leave, but their daughters stay <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
And they don´t get older. Well, from a certain age on, women just don´t get older <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> that would be a plus I'd be think'n,even in real life men age quicker then women,ur so I'm told <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I don`t really want to get a lot of men cos at the moment my lot are happy and they`ve been with me for a while.
If I get amnesty and go in, where will I find her?

Ye need te talk to the new Governor,it may take a couple O'tries but eventualy she should appear <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

If you are married, she should always appear.

And just sack the town! You can always attack a ship afterwards and do purposefully badly at the swordfight (although not so badly you loose - just let it go back and forth for a while) until your men are back to the low level.

What I did after attacking Monty's hideout.

That is an option, if ye have enuff crew an depend'n on fort strength, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Cap'n Darius[/quote]Strange thing, you never seem to be able to convert a town where your wife is!

The enemies of that town can convert it, but you cannot.

Somehow, she is still your wife! (Even though she has a face/dress change) You just have to figure out how to enter the town.

Now girlfriend, is a different matter.

If you need maps, and have a cool hat, the best method I have found is to go to a port with a beautiful daughter, dance, sack, install new governor, dance, sack, install new governor . . . etc.

Each "dance" gives you a new bit of map.

Works like a charm - I've turned a town from Spanish to French to English to Dutch and got a whole lost city map is less than a week of game time.

I rock.

Cap'n Darius

Well, I lost my wife. I eventually got back in to Florida Keys, but she wasn`t there, only the Governor.
I had a map and was searching for someones treasure, when I came across the Inca gold - a cool 50,000 gold pieces.
I haven`t done much attacking towns as I try to limit my crew to 100 and that`s rarely enough.
David

Aye and thar should be 4 or 5 hearts over de town on yer world map <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

It doesn`t actually say that I`m married, but there`s a picture of a beautiful woman and it says I have 10/10 for romance.I keep popping in the Florida Keys but there`s still no sign of her.
Bit of a bummer when you`ve been at sea for months on end and you can`t get any nooky when you come home.
David

She`s back!!! She said `Hello Darling. Where have you been? I`ve missed you so. Let`s go to bed. Sod all this dancing.`
Honestly.

On that very small possibility that you have the wrong city.

Try dividing the plunder and retiring. The game will then tell you where your wife really lives!! as she moves over to your retirement city.

The game has some quirks and this may be one of them.

Retire,wife move in wid ye <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> not in me lifetime mate <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
