Solved Whats with these dead birds?

running the lasted build and mod pack

I'm finding them everywhere. well maybe not, but I'm finding them on top of most of the chests on ships I have boarded and captured.
and I cant evade them. I get one eventually, wiether I loot it or not.

Is this intended?
If so. can I be rid of it?

I read the info for the dead albatross.
As for the -1 to luck, its not much of an issue when you can get items to buff your luck

Yes, it is an intentional Easter Egg but you can get rid of them just fine.
