And i have to say i play HL mods since im on a dev team for one ^^

i just remembered something. they're going to release a content patch for diablo II in honour of diablo III. it's an official patch by the developers.

i have more info. it's a new and somewhat bigger version of a patch i knew already excisted. i haven't used the patch so far. i did once though, and i know that it doubles the amount of sets. also, there's indeed a massive load of new items, and a lot of items now have their own special look (if you know how a great axe looks, the unique version has wings embossed on it's blades). they've also modified the game balance a bit, especially for the necromancer. his skeleton warriors aren't as abundant as they are in the unpatched version, but they're much stronger. some special items also have modified stats, such as the Pelta Lunata, a unique buckler i've got. i think i'll get the patch just to get that 40% extra block rate on top of the defence bonus. the defence bonus was lowered a bit though. it used to be 40, now it's 30. i don't know the exact link, but www.battle.net/diablo2exp should get you there. just copy and paste it.

yes. it is, however, extremely unusual for a developer to release a patch 8 years after the game was released, and this one is even bigger due to the release of diablo III.

I'm really am interested in playing Diablo III when it comes out.. come on Diablo in 3D!? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> And by the looks of the armors that they have made for barbarian which I have seen in the gameplay videos and concept arts.. I says that they are much more detailed and cooler than Diablo II's. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Much more warcraftish. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
