I installed both the Build 14 Alpha Version 2 & the update & when I started playing a new game I got this ....

The Build 14 Alpha Update to Version 2.

The location thingy is turned on... Dr. Hook made a system to turn it on and off if the Build h file and I think it was going to be included in the update.

I think you change the number to 0 from 1 to turn it off in the build settings .H file.

Would it be possible to change the text into a graphic, like a small chest? Would be a nice addition if you could, would be able to enter somewhere and automatically see every container with just a glance.

Or possibly turn it on and off with a key, like many RPG games are doing. Hit the B key or something and it shows all openable containers then hit B again to turn it off.

you can change it in the last line of the internal settings. just change the 1 to a 0

Sorry for this: My mistake. Open InternalSettings.h and set #define VISIBLE_LOCATORS to 0.

Saves me the trouble of switching them on and off "manually"

That setting was added in the latest Build 14 Alpha 2 file. You're still using Build 13, aren't you? So you don't have that setting yet. If you want I can tell you how to add it. It be hook that came up with the system correct ?

The "System" has always been there.
It is in the "locations_loader.c" file that came with stock POTC.

Hook coded the toggle for it, so it is more easily usable.

I expanded it on my own game to include a separate toggle for lights.
Used that to learn that "Heater" locators were for fireplaces. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
