I thought about picking up one of those Razors when I replaced my old IBM Model M keyboard when I built my new system, but I didn't like the laptop style keys. I hated to part with my old Model M, those things are built like a tank and you can beat the hell out of them repeatedly and they will still work perfect! I Also liked the way the keys feel, great tactile response, very easy to tell when you have actually hit a key. I was determined to have a backlit keyboard, all the mods that I could find just weren't capable of turning my Model M into what I wanted. I like to play games in the dark, and I wanted to be able to see the keys with just a quick glance at the board.
I did a lot of research before I purchased the keyboard I have now, I finally settled on a Logitech G-11! It doesn't quite have the tactile response of my old trusty IBM, but it is very nice compared to all other keyboards I have tried. The coolest part is the 18 programmable G-Keys, you can make them do anything you want. Each key has up to 3 different settings, for a total of 54 programmable keys! It has a few other bells and whistles too, like the ability to turn off the Windows key by way of a little switch on the keyboard, a VERY handy feature! This thing is rock solid as well, a very well built keyboard!
