Viper's Mod Patcher & Tutorial

ok lets get this done now, a .potc installation tutorial. Its a quick one so hopefully you will be ok

0.1) Grab VB6 runtime files from microsoft ( sorry dont have link )

0.2) Grab the infamous .OCX file from
http://www.megastra.com/pirates/COMDLG32.OCX

1) Grab this file

then grab a few files with the .potc format. hmm how about here

2) Now you will have this

3) Unzip all the files into the same directory so ye have this

4) Open the POTCModPatcher.exe file (if your POTC game is not installed in the default directory it will ask where it is so you will have to direct it to your POTC game directory...unless im wrong...Viper??) Press on the "Select Mod" button like thus...

5) Choose the one you want, double click it so it loads into the program ewwwww like soooooo

Then press install and thats it You will notice that after installation there is an Uninstall button instead of the install button, hopefully i dont need to make a tutorial about how to use that

er when i try and install sum mods it comes up with this Program filesbethesda softworkspirates of the caribbeanPROGRAMCharactersinitofficers.c
why cant it find it?

Having issues, some of the mods will install, like when i went to do the shipyard on Q, i could install your `Pre-Req`, but most of the other stuff i want that isnt by Viper, wont install, Gives me a Search and Replace Error?

any idea

(this happens with the Rapers Reinistiat, Verruckt - Quebradas Costillas Shipyard mod, Verruckt - Quebradas Costillas Brothel mod - could this all be because i used a group patch? which kinda reverted the game back to SD2, and POTC seems to have gone... im not sure what half this stuff is guess im gonna have to sail about and see)

Are you trying this on a clean install of POTC or on the Build 11?

If it is on the Build then it would fail with that error as the code has probably been changed.

I don't know what you are trying to add to it as almost everything is included in the Build. The only way around it would be to enter the code by hand.

the mod patch was easy to use, but how do you use the builder, every time I make a mod with it and use the installer It says the mod's aready installed and I get the nuinstall option only, whot am I doing wrong.

and search "Visual Basic 6". You'll find the `Run-time` Files somewhere.

The mod installer doesnt work.
Dont know what you done with it but it aint good.
I used it before and it did work.
Now i try to run it again and i get runtime errors

Dont suppose you have done a format or anything since you used it last?

Either way, as far asi know its still the same patcher we havnt done anything to it
