There are a couple of video sequences which play during the story, having been "borrowed" from the TV series "Hornblower". One of them is when you've just boarded Indefatigable and Captain Pellew gives his rousing speech, saying that yesterday His Majesty received a communique from Paris stating that France had declared war. Presumably this news arrived in the Caribbean by radio or jet aircraft. It certainly didn't arrive by courier ship if the communique was only delivered "yesterday".
The problem, of course, is that the TV series is set in European waters, and if Indefatigable set sail from a British port then it's entirely reasonable for Pellew to get the news that quickly. That inconsistency can't be fixed without editing the video. However, the "Duchess of Wharfedale" appears dark-haired in the video but blonde in the game. That can be fixed by picking a more suitable model for her.
