VCO - Voyage Century Online

Am playing in Magellan . Have 2 ships , a merchant & a battleship .. both lvl2 . Now I can make lvl3 timber and getting close to bronze production . Not in any guild yet so was hoping to see if member's from PA would gather in a server and creat an orgnized guild .

well on Da Gama i'm now vice leader of the most powerful guild. 116 people all active. it's crazy management skills but it works

anyways don't know much about magellan. but so far it seems like the following

Columbus = all high level alpha players, no hope for new people, and laged by multi accounts.

Magellian = guilds that use the system to cheat the system, (port blockading?WTF?!)

Da Gama = over powered guild that owns the server, has more then twice the number of the second largest guild. and had lv 5 battleships in only 5 days of playing. no hope for anyone unless the whole, and i mean WHOLE server challenged it.

cook = salvation from it all

I've been over on Columbus since Alpha. My char's name is Marcus and I'm like the #4 fella on the East India Trading Co. Crew.

well this is my review. It's not going anywhere. There making a new chinese version of the game which will be intresting and looks alot better. Furthermore they stole Sea Dogs, POTC, and AOP. by this i meant they stole coding, whole buildings. ships. sounds icons, characters, even the engine. other then that as a moderator for the game i can sincerly say that it's a rich boyz game now. you can spend days leveling your hand weapon skill. and then someone else can go and buy a scroll that gives them 21 million exp for ideling 6 hours. all i can say is that hardcore gamers beware.

if you want some low level fun though. this is definatly worth a try. lots of quests and things to do.
 
To tell you the truth guys, I am testing the european version of the game (Bounty Bay Online) which reaches the final beta soon. Well the will let you pay money every month. The features of the game are splendid and the game play is really easy going. Well I will switch to the american version because ist's free forever when I remember correctly.
 
Hellangel, I checked it, and on the site of akella they say, that they have APROVED IT, THAT THEY HELPED, like they did with POTBS, so they stole nothing.

Athens suckss as starting city....you could change it in the selection area when setting up account..if you wish to change you may have to delete that account and start over ...or you can ..NOT use the warehouse and go to another city and join it ...then transfer the warehouse.


I have neve r done this ..it cost a bit..I would rather set up a new account .


Athens should come with a huge red warning label .lol.....

hey Ledhead....... I changed location's ..... in Alexandria now ..... yea ! .... I went out to sea .. tried to do some traiding .... and almost lost the ship to freakin cannon fodder ...... I need a bigger ship to servive ....
 
Well yes, there sure are some things we all dislike but Alexander, Athens, Istambul and Beirut are "Boob Areas" When you advance in Skill level you can sail further to Venice / Genoa or Barcelona / Sevilla. I Sailed to london and become a British Knight <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Squid earn some easy cash by talking to the NPC's and accepting cash..you can always carry stuff fron the trader to the dock guy if you are broke..and it will give you BH exp.

You must buy skills ..timber and mining.

The upgrade your ship with the materials you make .

Its best to skill up a bit before attempting to travel or you will get wasted. BUT only if you are carrying trade goods.

At any rate the Alex suburbs and all the quest there and in the city are more tyhan enough to get you cash and exp. needed to start enjoying the game .

Ih you can PM me or run into me in game I can help you out with uniforms and weapons.....also you may want to join our guild, East India Trading co.

You will get all the help you need and more ..if you desire this type of game experiance.

If not and you want to enjoy PVP action ..you need to skill up and apply to join a PVP Guild like the Revenants .

They are not easy to join as they get tons of applicants and get to pick the skilled up ones ( guilds have a limited amount of slots and must pay to expand ).
 
argh.

a team of da gama players were able to make a level 5 guild :) anyways, were looking for players now to join Myth

this guild isn't going to die i hope, mainly because level 5 is the highest.

we have most of the guild miltary quests done.

we have the 4 strongest players on the server.

and theres only one other level 5 guild :p.

anyways if your intrested join up :)
 
Downloading now I am curious with all the reference to PotC, AoP, and Akella. Hell I just found out Akella did some ships for Pirates of the Burning Sea <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Anyways yeah I found a fast download should be done in about 5 minutes. Already registered.
 
My first impression was to uninstall and delete any reference to the game altogeather. I can't even seem to get the game running in full screen mode. For free it's pretty neat but I'll wait for Pirates of the Burning Sea thanks lol.
 
The game has issues and bugs I thought would have been fixed by now.

With the game as FUBAR as it is now I cant recommend it to anyone .

It takes a huge amount of effort and time invested ...and the game administration ...??? developers

Pay no attention to the gamers ...they just concentrate on ways to MAKE you spend money in the item mall .

At this point the game is FUBAR .

The balance issues are a killer ...and the sad part is ...you find out how screwed up it is only after you invest a few hundred hours of time .

If and only if IGG and the people who run the game make changes to fix the game , will this ever be a game worth playing .

Right now its just a big add for the item mall ...and a scam .

I expect it to die shortly by it s own greed and lack of response to player complaints on all levels of the game .

if they used characters, ships, code done by POTC Modding Community, without asking permisssion first and not giving proper credits to modders, thats unethical in my mind <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
NOOOOO, AKELLA HELPED! I read it on the main page of akella, they gave permission to IGG and said VCO was based on storm engine 2. Akella has also helped with Pirates of the Burning Sea.
