Which music file do you mean? The Pirates Gold music is available from the <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5178" target="_blank">PA! FTP</a>. The other files are available from <a href="http://pieter.piratesahoy.org" target="_blank">my site</a>.

To Lord Nelson: You will need to convert the files to .ogg. You should be able to find some converters on the internet. You don't need to overwrite existing files though. Just give them the na,e you want to use and edit RESOURCE\INI\ALIASES\music_alias.ini. Just add the filename of the file you added to the cases where you want the track to play. In Build 13 Beta I have already added Two Hornpipes to play in the taverns the same way.
 
ooh! nice! thanks for the info......now all we need is to try and make a Kraken for the game XD, and we can have PotC2: DMC up and running......
 
Hmm. I'm afraid you can forget about the Kraken; I don't think the game supports it. At all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
 
i know that.....just day dreaming <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />....just like i do about a game where YOU are the Kraken. i am just facinated with the Kraken lately......especially sincei played Age of Mythology right after watching DMC.....just looking at the Kraken wrap it's tentacles around ships, with the Kraken song from DMC playing on my desktop.......i have a Kraken addiction <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />.....

mods.piratesahoy.net??? It's ftp.piratesahoy.net. The easiest way to access it is to download FTP Commander from the modding tools page on my site. Everything is already set properly in there, so it should get you on there in no-time.
 
as we are on the topic of music is it possible to add music to a cerain location for example the tavren but that music only plays in the tavren?
 
that's the way things work already. ever notice the sea battle music never comes up in the Governor's mansion? or how tavern music never comes up while in the middle of a heated battle at sea? or how the governor's mansion music never comes up when your fighting someone in the jungle? all of them are examples. as for adding them, instructions on how are located further back in this topic, somewhere near the top of this page.
