Two little ideas

I was wondering if there would be some possibilities to implement two things in POTC, inspired from Sid Meier's Pirates to enhance the game ambient,

1) Famous pirates, all along the archipelago, there would be possibilities in pirate places or on some desert places in islands such as caves or else to meet such gentlemens as Blackbeard, Henry Morgan, Captain Kidd, Jack Rackham, and win not, a possibility to fight against them or their ships to get their treasures?!

2) The second idea would enhance the commercial aspect of the game, and bring more immersion in the game, it would consist in real trade routes for merchant vessels, they would go from an island to another with a cargo in relation with this island, instead of just spawning randomly on the map, they would have a destination, and the shop where they must ship their cargo could suffer of the pillaging

What do you think about that? would you see a possibility to make it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
the nr 1 sounds like a greate idea and yes its possible to make that.. I say if you are bored after a lot of piracy.. Why dont go for a litle treasure hunt <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> i liked that idea..

the cave's should be at pace's where no one will look, but maby it's to much to see the Black beard in the cave, like his bin there for 300 years,, Then he should be a ghost or something hehe... when you enter the cave and look at the treasure he come's with 4 and attack you

I mean.. You are sailing your ship.. you find a island, and there is no sign of life... you find a cave and enter it.. And there Kaptain Black beard is siting with a botle of rum in his left hand <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> mor realistic if he entered the cave after you entered it... or you see a ship on the beech you are going to sail to, you go to the cave and there blackbeard is standing there with a lot of other people from his crew
 
Yes i know what you mean, but where did the 300 year remark come from, considering the game is set in 1690, and blackbeard died in 1718 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

1) Maximus had the idea of adding several competing pirates to the game. Might be interesting. Alternatively you could just add some quest pirate characters to the game.

2) Nathan Kell was working on that and he got it pretty much working, but there were two major problems: He couldn't influence the ships on the worldmap, so the trade route ships would be invisible. Also it required a lot of processing power. Didn't work very well in the end, which is why it is not in the Build.
 
Famous Pirates could be brilliant for raising my rank in the English Navy "Sir, I've killed Blackbeard!" lol
