The crashes are gone, but the Dialog is a bid weird!
You can judge for yourself, maybe it should go back into
the Bugtracker?

I'm doing well and still enjoy POTC with all its faults as
you can see by all my posts in this forum.
Alpha4 is quite good and I've finished the game without
to many hangups. The new islands have improved but
they could be better. But I'm not complaining because our
modders trying very hard! I'm waiting for Alpha5 to have a go at!
AOP has gone on the waiting list, because I'm waiting for
Cyberops to post new updates.I got myself Syd Meiers RR
But that game is very buggy as well. Otherwise there are no new
games I'm interested in mainly because of the security software

Hi Nosie. My new graphic card Radeon X1950 PRO broke down a few days ago, but fortunately I managed to reclaim it today and now I have completely another new one ( I have it only a few hours just now) but this time I chose GeForce again - GF 7800 GS 256 MB. It seems to me it will be working quite well. So, I started to play my PoTC build 13 with 2 update again. Could you tell me how is the name of Amsterdam in shipyards and where could I buy it? If you are finding some another good games I would recommend if I can Oblivion and Gothic 3 and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. They are both great large RPG games without Staforce and DMoMM is rather action game with RPG elements. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I beleive the name of the Amsterdam is Spiegelretourschip

Replace one of your startingships in the InternalSettings.h file!
I've used her a couple of times and find her very nice! But a bit
powerfull for Pirates liking to start the game whith a 'Paddleboot'!
Rad, I'm still using my trusty old ATI Radeon 9600 Graphics card
and will do so for some time yet and have no interest in games at
the moment! Just downloaded Tortuga two Treassures and am not
impressed.The only time I would consider that game when it sells
thru Bargainshops for about 5 Dollars!!!!! For all the time these
programmers spending on it, one would think they can or should
come up with something better than that! Boy oh Boy, our modding
community can do much better than that and are doing it for the fun
of it! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/slap.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":slap" border="0" alt="slap.gif" />
 
The name is Spiegelretourschip and she <i>should</i> be available to buy. Because she is set to the Dutch nation, you'll probably have the most luck finding her in Dutch shipyards.

If using her as a startship one has to use the name
Amsterdam as far as I remember. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />
I just tried it and you ad Amsterdam to the startmenu
and she is listed as Spiegelretourship!
 
I wasn´t at Dowseen shipyard yet. I´ll check it. Nosie, I wouldn´t want to use such good ship as Amsterdam as starting ship. I always start with some small ship. Maybe the ship that you had with name Amsterdam wasn´t real Amsterdam. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

There is no mistake, it most certainly is the Amsterdam!!!!

The Amsterdam is called "Amsterdam" in the code, but "Spiegelretourschip" in the game. The reason why she isn't called "Amsterdam" in the game as well is because "Amsterdam" is the name of one ship and not a ship type. "Spiegelretourschip" is the correct ship type.
