I don't know if Captain Feathersword will qualify for the "Pirate's Graveyard," he strikes me as perhaps being a little too light in the landing party to join the murderer's row, but just in case...

Limericks don't really lend themselves to romantic verse, but from a purely piratical point of view; boundaries are for crossing. Inspired by a William Red Wake sentiment, I feel we need to break up the "graveyard shift" with some poems about piratical ladies, (or gentlemen, based entirely upon inclination,) that have stolen our hearts.

<b>Fair Katherine on Tortuga's Far Shore</b>

Katherine's fiery red hair fills my dreams,
And in dreams life is just as it seems,
I would breath furtive sighs,
While I dream of her eyes,
Till my dreams fall apart at the seams.

Let's get the weekend started!

Inspired by Lady Cat's "Three Decker Limerick" on Grace O'Malley, I thought that Blackbeard deserved a three decker too, so I took Mad Jack's Blackbeard and the title, conditional upon your permission, and added the one I wrote earlier, and then put another one together this weekend. Let me know if this is an acceptable piratical collaboration or not:

<b>Blackbeard's Guide to Crew Motivation</b>

Blackbeard kept a lit fuse in his beard,
And a devil to all he appeared,
Or a Sea Monster fell,
For this "Machiavel",
Wanted less to be loved than be feared.
