There seems to be a mystery afoot regarding Fred Bob's new doo, but perhaps history and Homer's <b><u>Oughta See,</u></b> can shed some light upon the subject and offer a possible explanation. It appears that there was a British officer, Sir Hugh de Nancy Fitzwilliam & Mary, who was a noted for his fabulous taste in fashionable garb, as well as his ruthless combat techniques, which appeared to involve a lot of kicking. Sir HdNF&M's regiment, The Lowland Swizzleliers, participated in the Battle of New Orleans during the War of 1812, where they were so suddenly surprised that their disorderly retreat caused them to leave behind the entire contents of the command post, which held the greater part of Sir Hugh's wardrobe. Sir Hugh never fully recovered from the loss of his wardrobe and very soon applied for early retirement citing a nervous condition.

Now when we peruse Homer's work we discover the following poem that may shed light upon recent events:

Till these two sent them off in defeat.
