Truthfully, the city was probably captured after the invasion force was sent out, and the game wouldn't turn them around. Well, in all truthfulness, I must admit that I had just left Trinidad after capturing it from the Dutch. I had seen the French invasion fleet travelling southwards towards Trinidad earlier and I beat them there easily aboard my Royal Sloop... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

This was on my "second round across the Caribbean". During the first round, I captured every Spanish town and gave them to the three other nations. Now, during this second round, I was capturing every Dutch town and giving them to the English and the French.

Yeah, the game needs to handle this aspect better. Many times I have seen a pirate or Indian force take out a city, then immediately the nation will send over immigrants or troops. If you then swoop in and take over the city for another country, the troops/immigrants will still be delivered but for the new nationality! It's funny seeing a spanish ship drop off French troops! They're doing you a big favor since it's easy to capture it back when the soldier supply is still so low.

And sometimes I've seen so many invasion forces in a row. Sank one, then another, then the other, then the last one. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

The good news is, they were coming out of Cartagena, taking a few guards with them. So I just waited for them to come all out, sank them one by one, and when the last one left, sacked the city.
