The Flying Dutchman...

I need answer on last post.. (there is no picture from boath sides <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

By the way: "update"

<img src="http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6263/update2pn6.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Not sure but for me its enought Flying Dutchmanish. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

EDIT: Btw i think you should bend that models bottom a bit ..the fatty part of it.

Because we don't know how far the game engine will allow us to use code to change the waterline, I would suggest one thing.

Try to keep the X-Z plane as close to the ships waterline as possible.

i can edit that after the ship is finished <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Flying Dutchman indeed:

I just tried setting the Dutchman's waterline to 50.0 and -50.0 (-20.0 shown in image) and both values worked without any crashes. It just looks really weird. Especially underwater looks really crazy. And before you get any ideas: No we CAN'T change the waterline smoothly to allow for submerging of the Dutchman!

<!--sizeo:3--><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo-->LOL!<!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec--> *insert laughting-on-the-floor smily here* You made Flying Dutchman like its name says ..Flying. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> *insert another laughting-on-the-floor smily here*

That´s what you see in the picture, Barbossa. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Me knows that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I forgot to add the quote in my previous post.^^

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> wow, that looks rediculous! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> i remember someone made a submerged one once. looked really wierd seeing all those other ships sailing past above you. it must have looked even wierder from the other ship, seeing a few masts float past.

the side of the hull looks EXCELLENT. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> the teeth look pretty neat too. i must admit, i, for once, have nothing to complain about it! not counting the already mentioned required curvature of the keel. not that you would see it, but still.

LOL. Indeed that ship isn't ALWAYS flying. She's just flying because I wanted to test the range between which we can change the waterline code. Apparently we have enough range. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

have you tried sailing over a smaller ship yet? i think it would have some pretty funny results. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

OK...

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Do the dutchman look exactely the same at Right/left side?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

That's for laughting out loud, Pieter you made my day. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
