Planing on upgrading my cpu from Intel E6300(dual core) to Intel Q8200(quad core), I'll need to buy new motherboard as well and a case fan for better cooling. That's about 326 dollars and that's 750 in Lithuanian currency. I think you could buy an Intel i7 for that sum of money in the US.

I know I'll be in the market for a new machine before the end of 2010 - this one's hard drive has started making a heck of a racket, so I'm just hoping to make it last until early next year.

I'll need to star saving up for a car after this upgrade, don't want to drive my moms Renault Megane.I'd like to buy an Intel i7 but it and the motherboard costs about 540 dollars and that's for the cheapest version.
