Hey Skyliner.. you have told that you have a GeForce 9800 series but.. what yer playing? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Ever tried Oblivion? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Just wondering if this mod can bring yer rig to it's knees too. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="24.gif" />
<a href="http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7705" target="_blank">http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7705</a>
It did with mine.. saw first time me rig lagging annoyingly. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Seriously though.. that mod just adds ability for you to see forts, ruins, taverns and other such stuff miles away in very low poly and it shouldn't make yer rig lagging AT ALL. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> It is obvious that it is one of the non-graphic things that makes the game lag. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> I'd really like to see those forts and ruins from far away but it seems that mod isn't finished yet. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Good thing is that with that mod my game lags about at same level as Gothic II did on my wreck when looking at places that had invisible polygons or scripts or whatever of that kind of nature, that means that game doesn't lag allways. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> But still I prefer playing the game without the damn lag. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> That mod needs to have scripts too not just meshes and textures.. by the way it didn't make difference when using the game's meshes or that fellas low poly models and textures... still lagged at same level of bad. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Wtf? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
So I uninstalled the mod and got the smoothness back.. the game only stutters a bit when it loads landscape in front of you but it isn't as bad as that lagging was. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="no.gif" />
And also another food for thought.. Far Cry 2 which looks much better than Oblivion and works darn smooth at very high quality, only place where there is a SLIGHT lag is when looking at large amounts of grass but that's FAR from being annoying. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Holy shit. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> It even has building shadows showing on the ground and they depend on which direction sun is. Though the game itself.. well I'm not really into modern world which means that I may have a better shot at Crysis. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
