i've achieved two things: firstly, i am now lieutenant-commander in the navy, which is surprisingly rare. most make it to lieutenant. secondly, i'm now allowed to navigate with the navy. oh dear. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> this could get funny. however, it IS the first step towards actually becoming an officer and taking command of ships owned by the flag. i qualify for an officer, but they don't actually promote me until i've got some more experience in actual captaincy to boast with.

naah. i'll be happy once i'll be blasting alongside the other Senior Officers and Fleet Officers in a war frigate or brig. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> Senior Officers often function as a second-in-command on the bigger ships to keep the crew in line. not easy, since it's often 50 people or more.
