The counting game

i want to be shocked at this, but can't be. i think you lost a 100 somewhere along the way.

it's more of an airship's sloop, but i'll be adjusting it for combat once i get the landing firgured out. right now you'll always end up with a mouth full of dirt. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> or hay, if you chose to pick a haystack. i've tried coming up with a way to seperately fold the tail and wings, but it's a little snaggy. here's the hitch:

i control the wings with a clockwork mechanism on the back. the left and right side is each triggered by a cord, and the two cords are held by the pilot, more or less like on a parachute. now, i've you'd want to control the tail seperately, you'll need four ropes. where are you going to leave the other two? imagine trying to land while you can't grab those other two ropes that you foolishly let go of. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> besides, if you'd fold up the tail to land, three things could happen:

1: you land.
2: you'll pile-drive your head into the ground.
3: you'll do a backflip and end up crucified.

maybe i should use one rope for the tail wings and one for the main wings, and ignore the possibility to control left seperately from right alltogether. better not mix up your ropes then though. i've also been trying the idea to use four levers on a rack instead of ropes, which would also keep your hands free.
