and the assignments keep rolling in. now i've gotten one from Julia, which is a drawing for a story Ravian is writing together with her. better not botch THAT one. reactions from her have been a little cool most of the time. yesterday it seemed to have gone in a better direction though.

programming class is getting fun, since we're now allowed to make simple games. i tried to mod a shooter into having a turret on a plane, but things didn't go exactly as planned at the first try. instead, i managed to create massive backfire. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> i flew my plane to the middle of the screen, and when i fired, it flew backwards off the screen at an amazing speed. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="24.gif" />

i did manage in the end though, more or less. i could fire in eight directions, but the problem was that i could fire in all directions at the same time by pressing the appropriate buttons. i'll think of something to fix that, maybe even a 360 degree turret. if i manage to do that, i'll start work on my airship combat game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Budget cuts did away with the computer classes here - they sold all of the older computers for (I'm told) $10 apiece. Considering none were over 4 years old, that was probably a pretty good deal <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> . bloody hell, that was one heck of pancake. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="8q.gif" /> it was heavy as lead, thick as a plank, and had god-knows-what stuffed in it. i'm feeling pretty woozy right now.

i'm drawing a frigate. it's a little wonky in some minor areas, but it's looking awesome so far, and highly detailed. i went a little freestyle on some bracelines, bu it should be fairly historically accurate. if Ravian scans it and then gives it back to me, i'll upload it some day, just like all those others.

this scares me. i got it into my head to try to phone julia once again, and my phone spontaniously started working again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> don't really know what to do or think of this now. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> that was a less than gentle nudge.
