oh, it got much worse. pretty hilarious, actually. i had bought this big farm, which now basically functions as a hideout and base of operations for us. i come back after a few weeks and there's this huge chicken assaulting the peach tree yard! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> i had stolen it's egg earlier. woops. next thing i know after i defeat it i can make Ean turn into that very chicken. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> that looked rediculous, but it worked.

heeheee, i've got my own pet dragon! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> the thing's bloody fast and can fly me to just about any point on the map. wasn't easy to get, but it's even better than that patched up pirate ship.

the fighter, Emma, joined me too. Rye and Emma are quite the duo. really, they're great. Rye had made a bet with Emma before the arena test. the loser gets to be the slave of the other. now Rye keeps telling Emma to throw rocks at dangerous animals and such. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> we always get into trouble, but it gives me a good laugh. unfortunately, i can't try the arena test a second time. maybe next time when i have some REALLY kick-ass equipment, like now. i also found another mages guild. there are now three mage guilds which i know of which Iya can join, but you can choose only one each time you play. next time i think i'll try chaos. i've also added the stereo-typical thief to my gang. that lock-picking skill is mighty handy, even though he's an annoying little brat.

the white mage, who is apparently named Nicholas Pendragon (king Arthur, anyone?), is being hammered back in line by Ava. also very funny. because he was being so arrogant, Ava bought a curse-gift for him at the spellcasters hideout: every time he insults someone he gets kicked up the rear by a magical boot. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

fun though. i have a suspicion that there are lots of insider-jokes. there are references to all kinds of old movies and stories which i vaguely remember. one of them would be a cook i met who kept yelling "basil! i need basil!" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

damnit. i goobered it. here's a hint: don't use the beast repellant you get at a certain point, or at least make sure you have one bottle of it. you need it to complete an important part of the main quest near the end, and if you don't have it, you can't get another, so you're stuck like me. 20 hours of gameplay down the drain. well, at least i can try the evil route next time. i found another mage guild too: necromancy. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> REALLY going to try that one some time. problem is, you can only access it after a very long time, so you need to keep Iya in reserve throughout almost the entire game. it should be possible if you choose Gavin to help you. but you actually need Nicolas as a healer. i'll see how effective Gavin really is. sure got a huge pile of doomsday spells over here for him to learn, and he can learn a few healing spells himself, though weak ones.

now for the good bit. Ean can turn into a friggin VAMPIRE! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> this is so cool! i'm so fast that those monsters can't even catch me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> he's got a huge attack now, and doesn't even look like a total buffoon. Emma on the other hand has a surprisingly small attack for a fighter. however, she's a living tank. i've seen almost no attack which did any significant damage to her. good for a static healing unit, or cannon fodder if you like. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

i'm not sure, but i think i can take Gavin and Nicolas with me both at the same time now. i've maxed out my positive reputation. this should REALLY kick ass if it works. the game did mention a reward if i managed to max out the points, after all.

wow, pretty neat discovery. aparently, there's two people in this game which also play in the prequel. interesting developement.

feh. this place needs a thunderstorm. i haven't seen the power of nature for too long, and wind isn't spectacular enough.
