The counting game

4020

i know a whole bunch of games i'd like to play on my wreck. but it's going to take quite some time before that will finally happen. i need some good rpg's, as i can truly lose myself in a game at times.

i've discovered what the best weapon in jets n guns is. the tsunami beta. get three of those along with four heat sinkers and you'll have an endless insurpassable spinning sheel of death. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> there's literally NOTHING that can get through it. problem is, you can't see anything either.

I know what you mean - I was up until three this morning playing PoTC, as I lost track of time <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

@Cylon: Exactly. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

well, what i mean is that i can really imagine that something is real. for instance, i have often just wandered around in PotC, no running, just admiring the sunny sky and scenery. i do this even more often when sailing. i love watching the little fishies and the movement of the waves. i've you've read my logbook on the forum, you'll see what i mean. i will continue with it some day, i just don't know when. the amount of lag and crashes is just too big for now. it can take me half an hour to pay a visit to the governor, leaving from the port, going back to port, and out to sea again. it's horrible. and then the game crashes.

I do that too - you realize just how good the game looks after playing AOP. If you ask me, the storms in PoTC look more real, as do the towns, the jungles, and the people in them.

Could your computer run Morrowind?

4024

Morrowind isn't that good (IMO). Why I don't like Morrowind is because of the crappy animations (like running, walking. etc). Animations there are way too simple and unfinished, Gothic at least has some gravity effects added to animations (like running) and they feel REAL but Morrowind has unrealistic animations which I don't really like.

Only reason why I like Morrowind is because you can see.. err.. *cough*nakedladies*cough* with
Better Bodies mod. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" />

When the big Tamriel Rebuilt mod finishes for Morrowind I hope seeing some improved animations/added animations there. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Oh and I don't play Mount & Blade fer a looong time because I don't like this bleeding fish eye vision there. My eyes used to start to "bleed" when I played the game for about 1-2 hours. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" /> Terrible..

What're you doin', Old Salt? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

The animations are rather lousy <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Methinks I'll have to try Gothic <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Nakkid people? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> In Morrowind? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> They can't look THAT good! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Your eyes bleed when you play M&B? What exactly do you mean?

Well the better bodies mod REPLACES the ugly Morrowind bodies with smooth and nice ones. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

And by "bleeding" I meant that my eyes feel dizzy and when looking at stuff it all looks so wierd. M&B is bad for eyes. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

@Cylon: Have you tried focusing on something that's far away from the computer for a few seconds, then going back to the game? Sometimes that works for me.

@Salty: I'm watching you... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

he's trying to say that the graphics are crap.

dunno. what are the morrowind system specs? i can hardly run PotC, so i really doubt it can handle morrowind. i'm kinda surprised that 'LotR: the return of the king' works without a hitch. well, almost. little lag here and there, but no real problems. that game has some pretty neat graphics for such an old game.

Who? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" /> and what graphics? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" /> Morrowind's? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> Well.. Morrowind has kind of crappy graphics. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

i never cared much about graphics anyway. a lot of people turn a good game down nowadays because they don't think it looks good enough.

What game is screwed because of this? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

just about all the games from before 2000, excepting some games who have a good reputation, but not even all of those. but this only counts for those people who look mainly at graphics.

i wonder if i shall succeed this week. friday was a close call. knowing this, i think i'll manage to give the drawing very soon. it's funny: i think it used to be the other way round in the past. maybe there's something left to save. i'll know soon enough.

on a sidenote, the moon is amazingly bright lately in the frosty air. it's not yellow or grey like you normally see it, but a very bright white. it shines like a star, almost hurts if you look at it. it looks kinda spooky, also because there isn't a light ring around it like you often see. it reflects on the clouds all around it.
