Suddenly i'm a bastard?

I've been on good terms for ages with england, letter of marque and all that.


But suddenly, england consider me a bastard, on all of my saves! What's gone wrong? Anyone else had this?

The first inclination of it I had is when I went to moor at st. kitts and the fort attacked me!

did u attack a colony? If so this would definately cause it. I am not sure about other conditions

No, I didn't attack a colony.

But the problem is, it's not just on one save, it's on every save I have. Including ones at the start of the game where I know I was on hero terms with England!

I get called a bastard all the time. It brings a smile to my face ... Oh, wait. We're talking about the game? Oooooooh.

I haven't played with it much yet, but are you sided with anyone else as well (Don't know if you can actually, but thought I'd ask.) That sounds like a total fluke.

in this situations all nations will call you a bastard...

btw you can make them neutral with relation agent. He's sitting in Isla Mona tavern. (after you talk with him you need to wait a few days befor relation with selected nation will change)

Your not seeing the point here.


I'm considered a bastard by england in ALL of my saves, even the ones early in the game. I was at hero status then.

Not sure what could have changed all your saves. Doubt there is anything you can do about it now.

I got caught smuggling goods by English patrol, so suddenly I went from hero to zero in their eyes.

Lucky for me I was almost done with the main quest, after which, you become bastard to all nations. You might want to jump on the main quest if you dont have any other choice.
