Stuck in “Land Battle”

Hi!

First of all, what an awesome job you Guys did with the New Horizon, have a ton of fun with it.

Now for the problem, I’m going through the horatio story mode. At this moment I’m at the quest “Land Battle” After doing what needs to be done, I’m at octopus bay. I get some directions, the French show up, automatic battle starts to play and After that all the surviving french except one, walks up to the english line. From there nothing happens, I can’t move, the french are standing few metre’s away. From what i read, Now a playable battle should start but it doesn’t. To be sure, i left the game with 12x speed for a few minutes to see what happens. But nothing.
I tryed reloading save etc. Nothing works and ends in this result.

What to do Now?

Which version of the game are you playing?

That one French soldier who doesn't attack the British line is probably supposed to attack you personally!
 
I’m playing the latest version, build 14 the final update. Something like that i figured out. The problem might be in he’s script or something I don’t know. I looked on other forums about horatio. Found a solution that works. Just had to use cheatmode to get me on the right level and stuff.

Not according to your screenshot. Those uniforms aren't the ones in Build 14, and the health and ammo bars are vertical - Build 14 has them horizontal. Is it Build 15 or Maelstrom?

Using cheatmode and talking to Cecil Scott Forester might allow you to skip past the scene but it doesn't solve the problem of the soldier failing to attack you.
 
I’m sorry, indeed I’m playing on Maelstrom, bought the engine and downloading the New Horizon, correct me if I’m using another horizon build. It doesn’t solve the problem with the soldier not attacking me. At this point I started the New campaign, skipping till the point of the quest. Is it usefull for you Guys to have my save of that moment?
 
I'm afraid I can't help, then, as I do not have Maelstrom. The soldier certainly attacks in Build 14 so possibly there is a problem with Maelstrom. In any case, I'm moving this thread to the Maelstrom section. The folks who can help will be more likely to see it there.
 
Thank you for your reply in this thread, that said again, keep it up because the New horizon mod is awesome. I really enjoy the gameplay and it tickles the old feelings I had playing the POTC game, in ways much better the original game could ever have. I Will wait for a reaction from the Maelstrom guys

I will do the storyline again. I have changed particle effects in many scenes. Especially when cannons shoot. Maybe something got messed up.
