I know you guys got a stable version but it doesnt has all these features like the new 14 ,8 but why dont u make a new version etc STABLE v1 and put all ships, quests, skins n islands etc and make sure its stable :p?

That's what modders are trying to do... Puting all ships, quest, items together and make it stable.... If you want complete stable version, play base game.....
 
The base game is stable? I had slightly other experiences.
I think with buils 13 final it more stable than without.

a simple virtual sailor is working on an update for Build 13 including some more new stuff. Also there's work being done on finishing Build 14. Build 14 might take a long time to be finished though, but one day it will be. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
i've retried the stock game not so long ago. it's more stable than build 13, but it's got a whole lot more quest-killing bugs.
 
I think as far as stable game versions with the least possible amount of bugs are concerned, I think Build 12.1 might still be the best. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
i agree. but that one's money system is pretty messed up. you get excessive amounts of cash.
 
Build 12.1 is reasonably stable but I think 13 final is just as or even more stable with a few tweaks. I've been fairly happy with 13 final, once I learned some of its weak points and how to avoid them, like getting CTD if your cargo holds were 100% full after a battle. I would recommend 13 final especially if you have just returned to play.
I think Pieter feels like 13 final might not be as stable as 12.1 simply because he still hears about all the bugs for 13 final so his perspective is biased, but when you consider how much changed between the two versions, the bugs are minor and 13 final is very playable.

At least, i haven't had any CTDs anymore with Build 13 Final.

None at all? That's nice to hear. I recommend opening PROGRAM\Worldmap\worldmap.c anyway and setting MAPSPEED to 1.0 to prevent some of the possible future ones though.
