I believe that code doesn't work if you take them with you on shore leave.

Edit:
On shore the game probably only takes your own nationality into account and doesn't recognise for your crewmembers if you're flying a false flag or not.

@Cassadar It's all mix up now, I tried again and now my crew wears both English
and French uniforms at the same time!

And this time ,if I dont use @Pieter Boelen console command, the crew ,at land,was civilian. Mix up and totally new behavior.

I can confirm this. Started a new game as Naval Officer. As soon as I arrived at Port Royal I went back to my ship and hoisted a French Flag. Then I entered the Crew's quarters and this happened:

I feel betrayed by my nation. They told me my crew was loyal and then I have to observe this madness. I don't know what to do anymore. :rumgone
 
Near as I know, there was never any code in place to change the outfits of these guys in mid game.
You say this is new behaviour? In that case: congratulations, you have just uncovered another brand new bug of absolute craziness. :modding
 
Now the game is relay going nuts. We have revolutions too. When I came
out from the governors residence at Cayman, there was a wild fight between
citizens and soldiers going on, I escape to my ship.
And the performance: Its maybe not so bad when you start the game, but when
you have been playing for a while its begin to be relay bad.
So it is rather chaotic now.
I was jumping out of my bed to write this, sorry, but I have to say it.
 
That "revolution" must be the old "Unintentional Fights" bug tracker entry again.
If the console command I posted there doesn't work, then I can think of no quick fix.
That means it would have to be thoroughly investigated which will be time consuming.
With all the brand new bugs showing up, such old bugs must wait until the new ones are sorted. :facepalm
 
Could someone please make bugtracker entries for these problems?
And maybe @Pieter Boelen or someone else can you confirm it also works in 4.1 without the WIP zips
 
I have no time at the moment as I'm being massively distracted by other things.
 
@pedrwyth you've got an older version running still right?
Could you check if the problem with the uniforms is also in older version?

Do you mean if you progress more in the game or after playing for a while?
So if you saved the game a reload it is the performance still bad or is it okay again?

The uniform problem with crewmembers while playing as Naval Officer definitely appears in the July version. It's probably also the reason why @ANSEL had a civil crewmember among his shore party. Raise a pirate flag just once and the game goes nuts here.
 
@Cassadar Will you make a bugtracker for the uniform problem. I think you
can formulate it better than I.

Both I think. I have been playing for a while and I'm leveled up to 20.
The performance is still bad after reloading a savegame.
